Are you surprised?

Yes, that someone can still argue when shown IN BLACK AND WHITE that they are wrong, and yet they continue to make themselves look foolish...

He longs for a person to sincerely desire to obey Him. We do this by avoiding sin. What is sin? The breaking of God's righteous and holy law.

1 John 3:4

We are to keep the 10, but we will not be perfect at it. Will we stumble? Yes. But when we stumble we ask Him for forgiveness, repent, and try again. All the while being in prayer for help from His spirit. We will get better as we go along.

If you look at what Jesus says what we are to do, it's the same thing the law tells us to do, even Jesus takes it even further, that it's not only what we do but also what is going on in our heart.

Commandment 4 "What man is there among you who has one sheep, and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not lay hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value then is a man than a sheep? Therefore, it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath" (Matthew 12:11-12). "And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath" (Matthew 24:20); there would be no reason to pray this if the Sabbath was not going to be in existence. "And He said to them, 'The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath'" (Mk 2:27); this verse tells all who will see which day is the Lord's Day. "And when the Sabbath had come, He began to teach in the synagogue" (Mark 6:2). "And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read" (Luke 4:16). "Then He went down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee, and was teaching them on the Sabbaths" (Luke 4:31). "The Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath...Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to destroy?" (Luke 6:5,9). "But the ruler of the synagogue answered with indignation, because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath...The Lord then answered him and said, 'Hypocrite...So ought not this woman...be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?'" (Luke 13:14-16). "'Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?'...And they could not answer Him regarding these things" (Luke 14:3,6). "are you angry with Me because I made a man completely well on the Sabbath?" (John 7:23).

Yeshua here was speaking regarding "Pikuakh nefesh" (the saving of a life).

Why was Exodus 16:29 never kept in the gospels, even by Jesus or the Pharisees? When did this law change? It would be the 4th Commandment.

Not sure I understand what you are asking...can you clarify? Are you asking regarding the manna or the leaving their tents on Shabbat? That was specifically during the Exodus from Egypt.

Did you read the scripture I posted?

For the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.”

So, when were they allowed to leave their place and go to the synagogue and walk the streets

Acts 1:12 also refers to a "Sabbath day's journey." Then they returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey.

Maybe it meant for the purpose of working...picking up manna.

Well at some point the manna stopped too, right. I assume it was for the time during the Exodus from Egypt. Likely now it is rabbinic halakha.

So do Orthodox Jews today go to synagogue on Sabbath? And do they use their vehicles to get there, or walk a Sabbath day's journey? Google says, 2000 cubits (3/4 mile).

Some walk while others drive. Stay in their places is interpreted to be within their "camp" (as in Exodus where the Ark resided) "village" or "town" or "city" limits. You could also read Joshua 3:4

I'm talking about those in today's Jerusalem who won't even press an elevator button. Do they drive? How would they start their car?

Pretty much everything (other than hospitals and emergency facilities) shuts down in Yerushalyim just before Shabbat. So most everyone observant walks...

I'm curious if Seventh-day Adventists actually keep the Sabbath in God's eyes.

Obedience is of course more than avoiding sin. It's also about to serve: Pray for people, give to the poor, help those in need, share the gospel etc.
