no, you baptize as soon as possible. in Acts, adults were baptized.

The eunuch first believed, then was baptized, in the water, not by sprinkling.

we don't sprinkle, and belief comes before the act. what's your point?

Sorry, you seem to be defending infant baptism by sprinkling.
Do you baptize by immersion? If so we are in agreement.

sorry, yes, baptism is done by immersion. one can only pour when one does not have access to enough water to immerse.

could the non-Orthodox please realize that this is not the place to debate each other?

You’re yelling at the ocean, ArmyMatt.

I’ve personally never bought this argument when it’s used against the Roman Catholics.

If this logic in following the Didache holds, why don’t the Orthodox go out of their way to Baptize in running water? The Didache makes it clear that running water (rivers for instance) takes the utmost priority, and if you can’t access running water, then you can Baptize in some other water by immersion, and if you don’t have enough water to do that, then you can do Baptism by pouring.

we do, depending on where and what time of year the baptism happens. I know plenty of priests who baptize in lakes and rivers.
