I almost hesitate asking, but did anyone see Invasion Iowa last week? I think all in all it painted a very positive picture of your state - at least is showed Iowans as about the nicest people on Earth.

On Sunday I leave for a week in San Antonio. I'm looking forward to a week away from work.

It was hinted that a few of the extras figured it out early - the movie script was so hokey.

As far as national news goes - being a trekkie, I keep up with that stuff, and I remembered the press about real live movie being filmed, and literally 10 days later, finding out that it was all fake.

Mark is doing very well.

Whatcha been up to lately. I've been working, mostly. Did I tell you pizza boss is giving me another raise? (along with most of the other employees)

Been busy with work. We were supposed to have a trial next week, but it just got continued to the end of May.

Hall bathroom is still gutted out.

Mom's doing better, but she's back to not watching what she eats, or checking her blood sugar. At least she isn't smoking.

How's the grandchild? The kiddies?

Need a place to stay on the way to or from San Antonio?

I'll be in San Antonio for a Professional Women Controller's conference. It's M-F next week. I'll be flying in on Sunday evening. I'll be sharing a hotel room with a lady that I met at last year's conference. I am really really really looking forward to having some time away from work.

Today is 10 weeks since I quit smoking. If I can make it to 16 weeks, I think that'll be the longest that I ever quit for.

There's a lot of crud going on at work. The manager's on a rampage, and making my life pretty miserable. I filed a discrimination/harassment suit against him last week. I'm not too sure how my co-workers will react when they find out. For my resolution, I asked that the manager be demoted/removed, and for me to be given a transfer to Michigan.

Susan and Felicia, I need you to come visit me. I want you to see the PACES program. The kids would enjoy hearing about your careers. (they're as ornery as ever)
Taylor has put on weight. Her head is round now. Mikki looks like she's lost weight again. She also looks dead tired. I think Taylor is keeping her up more often now. It's 'bout time to have someone babysit a night.

I think we just might get that rain. My knee and hip started hurting during the night.

DSM still sounded nice to me up until I found out that a coworker that I don't get along with is thinking about transferring there. Mom and Dad still live in Alaska, but I've got two sisters that live in Michigan, and Mom and Dad will eventually retire there.

You and I can act old together... My joints have been hurting moreso lately than normal.

Not a lawsuit, although I'm not sure how "internal" it is, either. It's an EEO Complaint.

Thanks for your prayers. I never thought that things could get worse than they were a couple years ago, but I think that now he's after my job.

I still need to give you my ex-coworker's name and number. He is a really cool guy, and somebody that I actually enjoyed working with. And... both he and his wife are Lutheran.
