Telsa is having a very bad year so far compared to other auto makers.

Year to date:

Honda Motor Co
+1.56 (5.49%)
Mazda +0.14 (4.17%)
Ford +0.33 (3.42%)
Hyundai +0.02 (0.04%)
Toyota -3.52 (-1.82%)
GM -1.95 (-3.81%)
Stellantis -0.74 (-5.83%)
Nissan -0.41 (-6.82%)
Rivian -2.12 (-16.00%)
Tesla -140.11 (-36.94%)
Teslas absurd valuation is largely built on the image of Musk and his ability to pump up vaporware as the aura around him fades perhaps it will settle to a more realistic level.

It was/is definitely overvalued.

A Peaceful Protest Movement

Sell Your Teslas

Dump Your Stock

Stop Musk Now

Hurting Tesla is stopping Musk.

Stopping Musk will help save lives and our democracy.

The stakes couldn’t be higher. No one is coming to save us
Yup - they want to destroy a privately owned company because the CEO is part of a specific political party. Harming Telsa harms thousands of American Jobs and millions of people pensions - Destroying people lives for a political motive.

From what I see, nothing they advocate is illegal or violent. Peacefully protesting in front of a Tesla store is legal and has been a common form of protest for centuries. Encouraging people not to buy Tesla products or to sell Tesla stocks is also legal and a form of protest. So, what exactly do you disagree with?

The saying has been you’re investing in what Tesla will do not want they are doing but the vaporware nature of the will do part is becoming apparent.

Fortunately, We don't have the right to destroy the property of a business.

Agree 100%. Destroying others property is 100% illegal and they all should face punishment.

Advocating for citizens to PEACEFULLY protest is neither illegal nor un-American. Encouraging people not to buy Tesla products or stock is a legal form of protest within the United States.

I am sure Elon Musk or conservative didn’t have problem campaign against Bud Light.

A stock's daily performance can fluctuate wildly; it doesn't change the fact that Tesla stock has performed much worse than all the other major auto manufacturers this year, including Honda, Mazda and Hyundai.

It's the most valuable car company stock at $240.71 compared to the second highest at $190.50 for Toyota, with all the others way behind... but uhhh vapor and aura. Yeah that's it.

And Elon Musk's net worth is $327.3 billion, which is about $115 billion more than Jeff Bezos who comes in 2nd place at $211.7 billion... but vapor and aura again I suppose.

Just think, if protesters continue to drive down stock and sales poor Musk may have to settle for being the second richest man in the world.
They're really showing him!

Of course, this would play better if Musk didn't have a history of racist comments and reTweets. Plus, we've found out that a couple of the people working for him have a history of racist posts, who still are working in DOGE. And then you had Musk's defense of Hitler in a reTweet. There are reasons, beyond the alleged Nazi salute, that memes of "Swasticar" that goes "0 to 1939 in under 3 seconds" have become popular in Britain, not to mention that sales of Tesla's in much of Europe have fallen drastically (far more than in the US).

Tesla is clearly off to a rough start this year, but let's keep everything in perspective.

View attachment 362467

Obviously, it remains to be seen what will happen in the long-term.
It has still lost half its value since 3 months ago. The Trump administration's unlawful pumping of the silly cars doesn't appear to be turning this fiasco around.

Yep they only have to knock him down $115 billion to get him there. And what's even funnier is he probably wouldn't care.

Only time will tell.

I do find the dynamics of this boycott interesting. I mean, just a few short months ago, liberals loved Teslas. It was kind of like a liberal elite status symbol that you cared about the planet. And now they can't stand them and are literally burning them (harming the planet in the process). I just wonder how much staying power the boycott has. Usually people tire out and will separate the person from the object. Even if they disagree with Musk's politics, if they like the car, they'll likely still buy it. At least after the loonies stop threatening to vandalize and fire bomb them.

The exact same issue I had with conservative boycotting Bud Light -

Except no one burned Bud Light Trucks - Doxxed people who purchased Bud Light Spray painted Bud light displays nor set fires to stores that carried Bud Light.

That is EXACTLY what I disagree with and to deny it is happening is not based in reality. The radical left has a lengthening history of calling violent protesting peaceful. And that is demonstrably true.

Correct, it is, no real metric justifies the ludicrous valuation.
Toyota p/e: 9.08
Tesla p/e: 118.13

Again, yes, the majority of his net worth is based on the value of his Tesla stock which is absurdly overvalued.

QFT - add to that the thousands of middle class auto workers they will put out of a job and the tens, if not hundreds of thousands of workers who have Tesla stock in their 401K that will be effected.

Generally speaking, organizers of boycotts never seem to be "big-thinkers". Like the recent "Economic Blackout" that told people to not shop at Target and other stores on February 28. Why would anyone think that would make an impact? Even if everyone bought their stuff on February 27 instead of February 28, they're still buying the same stuff. Why would anyone think that would prove anything? As for me, I went shopping on February 28 since I'd heard that people were staying home that day and I thought it would be a quieter shopping experience. I was disappointed to see no real difference in the foot traffic in the mall.

Boycotters in general are like petulant children, IMHO. I support their right to throw their tantrum and get their 15 minutes of fame by letting everyone know they're not buying things (as if anyone cared), but it's debatable if anything meaningful ever results from it.
