What the OP seems to mean by socialism is how it is being presented by the most shrill figures of the Democratic party. It's certainly not about Social Security or Medicare. It's not a pretty picture to most.

Except that the media has never covered the tea party to the extent they cover AOC & Co. She is the darling, of the moment, and they agree with much of what she says and does. Unfortunately for the dems the moderate/blue collar democrats are not enamored of her or the severe leftward tilt of the party. My guess is they may not like Donald but they hate socialism and the GOP will paint the democrat party with brush all through the election cycle.....and AOC & Co. will help make it stick.
