Right.
So what is the difference between the term Holy Spirit and the term Paraclete? Both terms refer to the same being but what is the difference between these two terms?
The same Person. The Being of the Holy Spirit is God, even as the Father and Son are God.
The Person of the Holy Spirit is called the Comforter (parakletos) by Jesus in John chapters 14, 15, and 16.
He is called this because of what He will do for the Church after the Lord has ascended to take His seat at the right hand of the Father. Namely, bring comfort, He does this in the way Jesus says. And this is further expounded upon throughout the rest of the New Testament.
