I hate to be ignorant, but I don't know who that is......it must be a t.v. personality?......I don't do t.v. so I'm out of the loop at times.

Wayne Gretsky is to hockey what Kleenex is to tissue. He's such a famous hockey player, his name is synonymous with the sport. ;) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wayne_Gretzky

My opinion of Wal-Mart...well, I did a little research on Wal-Mart about a year ago. And I was impressed with the principles in which it is founded, it's founder, and it's relationship to the community, and it's employees. MO is that when you are smart enough to find a way to give the public what it wants; friendly service, good quality, and low prices, like Sam Walton did, it can't help but be very successful. And, Wal-Mart pays it's employees very well, has a great deal of benifits, health, retirement, even stock investment opportunities. I shop there, because paying more for substandard merchandise and getting the added benifit of rude and unhelpful store employees for it, just doesn't make sense to me.

UGH!!! She is a home wrecker, a child collector, and just right out weird!

She ruined Billy Bob Thornton's relationship, and then Brad Pitt's marriage. Now, I have nothing against adopting children, I think it is great, but it just seems like it is becoming about image to her. And have you ever heard her talk about the child she actually gave birth to? She said she had less inclination to feel for her, because her other kids came with a personality, and her newborn was just a blob. And the other things like making out with her brother and carrying around blood...she's just a little weird for my liking. I am sure she does good work across seas, but she is just not my cup of tea!

I think sci-fi can be very imaginative, and carry good story lines. Where they sometimes cross the line is in presenting the dark side of the supernatural in a positive light. The natural inclination toward the spiritual can be negatively influenced by them, IMO.

I wasn't really sure what Kabbalah beliefs were, so I looked it up, and I saw a couple words that really turned me off quick; mystic, magical, and divinity of nature. Sounds to me like this is just an extention of Wiccan practices. I know it is running rampant through Hollywood (celebrities anyways), which automatically tells me there is probably something wrong. It doesn't look to Jesus, so it is definitely wrong.

I completely agree with the death penalty. I think the way it works now could use some improvement, of course. However, I believe that if a person can be convicted, beyond a shadow of a doubt that they have killed somebody intentionally, they should be put to death, instead of sitting in jail, rotting away, living off of our tax dollars, enjoying a free life. (That's free financially, BTW)

I honestly don't know what I think......I have seen it done in a tasteful way that is like, look at this wonderful being made in the image of God......but pornography, on the other hand, is ugly-spirited & is just running rampant these days :( I'd be happy if it were wiped off the face of the earth.

I think they are good for what they are meant to be, however, as with everything else, people abuse them, and find the loopholes, and then it becomes a reason for a person to live off of the government while they sit around and don't bother trying to support themselves. The system is a little too lenient and doesn't really encourage people to get back on their feet and get a job, or an education.

I was born into a generational Christian family, dedicated at birth, brought up in church, was saved, gosh it's been over 3 decades ago now, have studied the Bible in several versions, just about everyone in my family is in the ministry...and I've never seen the point of debating Biblical topics. Want to know why? Because, People think that what they believe is "the truth", and any other viewpoint that isn't exactly the same as theirs, no matter who it comes from, is "wrong". Debating the Bible is an exercise in futility as far as I'm concerned. And it usually leads to all sorts of stumblingblocks geared towards quenching the spirit.

Infomercials?

rip off!

Oh, they drive me crazy! They repeat the same 5 minutes of tape for a whole 1/2 hour! And then, when they actually sucker you in to buying their product, it costs 20 dollars more, and you get it and it is poorly made, and doesn't work the way they show you it does.

Ok, so that wasn't all about infomercials, but you get the point ;)

The only thing that makes celebrity opinions different than everyone else', is because of their job, they have a venue to voice it. I guess what I feel about their opinions is if it's smart and thought provoking, I might ruminate on it for awhile. If it's arrogant and mean spirited, I'll probably grumble about losing respect for someone who's work up until that point, I enjoyed. There are some celebrities that have made me not want to watch their work because of how they think. No lie.

But, as I probably told you, I used to live in Hollywood, and I worked in the art field. So, I've met my share of celebrities, both A and B class. And some of them are complete jerks, while others are as kind and sweet spirited as anyone you would ever want to know.

I think the important thing to remember is that celebrities are still just people. And that everyone is entitled to their opinion. Doesn't mean we have to always agree. (unhappiness springs from the need for uniformity in what we think, imo)

The New Apple Commercials? (the ones with Mac and PC as two people talking to each other. )

I think the commercials are pretty accurate. My husband and I have a good laugh about them. I used to work for a place that used IBM. But, because my husband is an artist, we use Mac's here, exclusively...and they're much more user friendly.

Stereotypes annoy me. You see, I'm (a natural) blonde...and have an I.Q. of 145. ;)

(I agree, Mac's are better for an artist's needs...that is what I had planned on getting with my next new computer!)

I like geneaology. I think it is neat to know where your roots lie. My grandpa gets on those ancestry websites and researches it all, and draws out family trees. He has gone pretty far back! Another thing is that even if you are not that interested in history, and I am not, it is a piece of history that you are connected to.

What I know about mine so far, is that I have a great, great, great grandma that was a full blooded cherokee indian witch doctor. My relatives were part of the infamous Hatfield and McCoy feud (we were the Hatfields), and I am German, Irish, and Indian. Just fun things to know.

Sorry to seem inhospitable, but it's time to clamp down! Eleven million people enjoying the benefits of living here without paying taxes for the services they use, that's how I look at it. They should apply for citizenship or else leave.
