Im feeling inspired by Gottservant's weird recent, rather ambiguous, threads.

Before I die I'd love to talk about philosophy since its relevant to death. I'm not suiicidal or terminal but I am dying, we all are (according to my mother "We are all dying from the moment we're born". Nice touch, mom.)

Given you're all dying and so am I, shouldn't we be concerned about something?

I've had an NDE around a drowning scenario. I exited my body and felt nothing but peace extending forever in all directions. I had the choice to let go into it or return to my body. I considered leaving and a voice came to me like a thousand mothers all said "Don't go yet". I realized that choosing to go at this point would devastate my friends and family, and that all the confusion I was feeling in life was simply a formation in the body that I had built or allowed to be built. I could also destroy them.

So I leapt back into my body full of joy and purpose.

I am no longer afraid of death at all. I plan on earning my death and looking back on a life lived as courageously as I can.

Yes, that we enjoy life while we can, make the most of it, and leave the world a little better for our brief sojourn.

I've noticed you've got a tendency to make playful little threads based on other threads by other posters. I'm not sure if that's the case here, or if you're serious about this as a topic...

In case it is mostly in jest, I think it's important to remember that Gott has some rather serious mental disorders. This isn't me making a claim that he's crazy, he has made threads and posts about his mental conditions which have been professionally diagnosed and he is supposed to take medication for. Its not exactly hard to tell that this has a noticeable affect on his thought process. It's a situation that I can only begin to imagine the difficulty of having to deal with...

I'm not saying anyone should ignore him either, I just think it's something to consider before you engage him in one of his threads. He's trying his best to communicate an idea and discuss it with others. I'd be willing to bet it's as frustrating for him as it is for everyone else, but I think it's a good thing that he does it (usually).

There is a great deal to look forwards to when we are no longer cocooned within matter!

He entire point of growing spiritual gifts is to be able to handle and navigate a new medium.

I guess in a way, because of my own social ineptitude, I create these threads as a way of connecting. Appreciate your feedback, correction taken.

^ This. We may exit this world, but as we do, more enter it. We should leave it a better place than when we entered.

I'm skpetical about most NDEs.

But I undersand how we come to build constructs and how they are affected to the law of inertia and why they continue without profound intervention, and the damage they do, as well as how difficult it is to change the mind and head the other direction. If I understand you correctly, you had an epiphany, and were then able to destroy negativity that was affecting your body and mind (?). But I am curious, please, to know who do you claim authored this experience? I'm not asking in a critical way, please know; I'm interested in what happened. But please don't use physics speak - I don't understand that language. I need layman's terms for dummies.

Yes. Think about your life after the death, and do things accordingly.

If you are convinced that there would not be anything of you after the death, then "eat, drink and getting married" might be proper things to do.

I don't mean any offence saying that... I just don't think NDE are much different from dreams.

Don't doubt you. We can monitor the brains of those having such an experience. It doesn't mean that it's from God, but it does mean that you had an experience.

I've had 'God experiences' but I'm an atheist now. What you feel doesn't matter... the brain can make things seem real or amazing. All real experiences come from the brain, after all.

I think you mean that all real experiences are received and interpreted by the brain. I experienced going for a bike ride today. If I had fallen down and landed on my face, the experience of that wouldn't come from my brain, but rather from the pavement, and then interpreted by my brain as unpleasant.

Do you believe those who claim to have experiences with other Gods? Why or why not?

Do you believe those, who claim to have been abducted by aliens in their home and taken aboard an alien craft and probed with medical instruments? Some of these people have passed lie detector tests have genuine consistent recollections under hypnosis. Do you believe them, why or why not?

If I had fallen down and landed on my face, the experience of that wouldn't come from my brain, but rather from the pavement, and then interpreted by my brain as unpleasant.

As an fyi, the brain is more than capable of creating experiences, that are indeed not real.
