If you need God for Morality, why are Atheists so underrepresented in prison pop.?

I'm telling you that you should both read and trust your Bible. Don't let the vain knowledge of men sway you against DIVINE REVELATION. We might not understand everything, but neither do the evolutionists. Don't be fooled.
Which Bible?

Maybe it's the priests that know stuff like this: <snipped>

Greetings, fated...

What you posted (and I snipped for brevity) looks like an interesting starting point for an off-thread discussion, but I'll admit I'm a bit confused about what it has to do with my post (about my friend's experiences with religion in prison). Are you suggesting that favored access to Christianity in prisons has to do with priests wanting to carry the message they "know" is best to a literally captive audience?

This is what I'm drawing from the first sentence up there, but I don't want to put words in your mouth. I'd like to understand, though - can you clarify what you're saying, as it relates to my comments on the dominance of Christianity in my state's prison system?

Thanks.

"Atheists" shake their fists at GOD every time they ridicule Christians for being Christian. "Atheists" shake their fist at GOD every time they pretend insult at public exhibitions that do not concern them, not costing them anything but silence. Read the Humanist. The entire aim of that periodical is to eliminate christianity so that they do not have to hear anything. If GOD truely does not exist, why does HIS worship bother them. Again, Zeus is ignored. I look at his statues as works of art, but I do not fight either for nor against him. Sheva is the same. She does nothing because she can do nothing. My GOD works for me and that bothers atheists.
You are missing an important point here. Zeus's worshipers do not influence my life. Christians do. When Zeus's folk start telling my mother that she cannot marry the person she loves just because Zeus told them she couldn't, I would be fighting Zeus and his followers as much as I do God and his followers. And just for sake of clarity, just because I mentioned God does not in any way, shape, or form suggest I believe in his existence.

Just because you need faith does not mean that others do.

I don't believe the is such a thing. Everyone has faith in something. Everyone has gods.

You have faith in something. You have gods. You, as an individual, may need those things in your life, and that's fine. But don't project your needs on the rest of us. The world doesn't revolve around you.

Sheva is the same. She does nothing because she can do nothing.

You're kinda shaking your fists at Shiva there yourself- who is a male deity actually.
As for "does nothing because [he] can do nothing"- well, many Hindus would disagree, being as how he and his wife Shakti are the source of all energy and life.
The Hindu gods are a very active bunch.

I'm gonna ask this question, that has been asked before once more, in as simple terms as I can in the hopes of getting an answer:

LittleNipper

If people who believed in something you don't had influence over your life in a way you thought was negative, would you or would you not discuss and possibly even ridicule that belief?

Would your discussion and ridicule of this belief mean you now believe it too?

Are demons and faries the same thing?

Of course not.

Do you believe in Tinkerbell, or is your religion an afairyist?

Is it that difficult of a question

Everyone has gods.

Out of curiousity, who are your other gods? I thought the 10 C's stated "no gods before me"

This would indicate that big G has to be your main man, while those other gods are more goto guys with stuff you don't want to bother him with.

Yeah, definitely.

Biblical monotheism is more "Our god is better than your god" than "No other gods exist".

Oh I get it, God is the starter and anyone else are the backups.

Still, I wonder who's the Doug Flutie for LittleNip

Please speak for yourself.

Some of us have grown up.
I speak the truth. You most obviously worship something, even if you do not know it yet. Everyone has something they crave. With some it is thrills. Others worship feeling good. Others must eat or sleep. Some need to have sex or be in control. Still others want attention or a family. These are all gods. So I speak to you, if not for you.

So you equate worshiping god with what... hedonism?

Strange definition of worship there little guy.

Tinkerbell is a storybook character. How do you know faries and demons are not one in the same? Who told you? I do believe in demons. I believe in fallen angels. Lucifer is one. He is described in the Bible as very beautiful and an angel of light. Perhaps Lucifer is YOUR Tinkerbell.
