Svt4Him said:Just so I know, you are then calling God a murderer? Or is there perhaps a difference between killing and murder? As in intentions?
Redneck Crow said:Indeed.
Itworks or by the Grace of God.
Anyone who is saved and thinks that He is now able to be saved from that point on by his own righteousness is sadly deceived. Our flesh still continues to sin in various ways and to various degrees because that is our nature.
Christ did not save any people who just made a few whoopsies before they came to Him. He saved human beings who continue to be imperfect in and of their own acts after they come to Him. Despite our best efforts, our human acts will continue to fall short of God even after we are saved.
It is the righteousness of Christ who saves us, His, not ours. That is the only perfection, the only righteousness, that any of us can ever have. His, through His gift of Grace.
If God does not rescue a Christian who falls short of His perfection by taking his own life, He doesn't rescue any of us, because none of us fail to fall short by our own acts after we are saved.
epyon said:Let break down this question. Is God a murder? God those not answer to the laws of man and does not need a reason for things he does. The second part of the question is there difference between killing and murder? In my opinion the take of life is straight forward. Only those who try to come up with excuse or try to change the meaning of God law of taken a life. Is tha what you are trying to do.![]()
I have no answers. I would like to say "yes". But I believe it may very well - on occasion - be "no".BlessedBeliever said:I have been asking friends and family this question and also trying to do some research on it and get mixed answers.
I ask this because a friend of Mine whom I was very close with in high school committed suicide on Easter Sunday.. If you know of any answers to this please let me know and thanks!
emem56 said:for me i think suicide is murder. because it is almost like someone is taking ones life when it is not their's in the frist place. their body is God's temple. i know that in a lot situations people don't think about it, because i use to be suicidal, but i think instead that person should think about how God loves us so much that it hurts him to see us destroy something so beautiful and that was a gift from him.
Im not sure if this has been mentioned yet but here it is. This is just my interpretation, and in the end God is the only true Judge. Personally, I believe suicide is very drastic because nothing on this earth lasts forever- the pain will go away soon enough. I believe suicide leads to Hell for certain reasons: Murder is a sin, correct? Suicide is very simialr to murder(the taking of a life, just your own instead of someone else's). Murder is forgiveable, but you have to ask for forgiveness( repent: concious decision). With suicide, you can't ask for forgiveness: you arnt alive to ask. But with some forms, you may be alive long enough to ask for forgiveness, so they still may get to Heaven, especially if tehy were a true believer. Most find it hard to believe a faithful Christian could commit or even attempt suicide, but I know life has very lows and I've had a portion of my share. So have many of my friends, and even my church's minister.
