It doesn't seem like you have a point.
I believe LoveofTruth is saying that though Paul sinned He did write all those Epistles.

I respond to OP with the passage in I John 1:8-10:
8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

Christians have a sinful nature to contend with until the curse of sin is removed in heaven...
Revelation 22:3:
3 No longer will there be any curse.

We also have our explanation of sin entering the world in Romans...
Romans 5:12:
12 Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all people, because all sinned—

But we see, also in Romans, that Jesus reversed the curse and all who put their faith in Him will be credited with righteousness /saved.

Romans 5:18-19:
18 Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

This is not to say we are to go on purposely living a life of sin. We are to live according to the Spirit and not to indulge the sinful nature....

Romans 8:5:
5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

heres a question do you believe is a person ( christian or non christian) "committeth sin" are they of the devil in doing so? a "yes, they are of the devil" or "no. they are not of the devil" is the response looked for. Then we can discuss further that point.

In opposite contrast, we are stopped, prevented, hindered by forum from judging sin in the body /in the forum/ of followers of Jesus and non-followers of Jesus.
of we are still able to use holy scripture ( as all; christians are commanded to do) then scripture is used for that purpose in Christ and as the Spirit leads. All scripture is profitable.

I don't think anyone will stop others from using scripture here. if so then I suppose they will have to answer to God one day for that.

A little naivette ? Gullible ? They have already stopped Scripture being used to reveal truth "here"/internet/ forums. The standard is not Scripture nor Truth nor Jesus, so if something ,shall we say 'touches a nerve'... well , it is dealt with swiftly.

Oh yes, they have already and will again with final judgment be justly avenged (by God as He Chooses) ,

one day. Not while current forces are employed though.

not naivette or Gullible, strategic, I am fully fully aware of the struggle all believers face.

Including the writer of this epistle. Must be missing something here with the application.

1 John 3:8King James Version (KJV)
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

King James Version (KJV)

Comment: If you read the verses above this one we see this refers to continuous sin.

The bible describes those that turn away to be backsliders. Backsliding in the bible is presented as a slow process (and even in real life being in church I can tell you it's slow).

In other words if you commit a sin as long as you address that sin and turn away from it and don't go back and back you're good. As long as you don't allow sin and iniquity and stuff to build up and keep committing sin after sin after sin, but instead you present it to God as soon as possible you're good.

1 john 1:1

1My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

My answer: No because backsliding is a slow process and trust me not everyone starts out going up and up and up. Many as myself had certain sins we committed again and had to address, but becuase we addressed them right away we were able to get rid of them and move on before it was too late and continue on being christians.

After a period of time (this depends on the individual) you reach that sinless state. You stop having to go to God every month or whatever, for some that's right after being saved, for others that's some time during the first year

Just asking you , and can you explain 1 John 5:18 ??

This is such an important question, and I’m glad you’re asking it! The Bible teaches us that as Christians, we are still capable of sinning, but our identity as children of God is secure when we place our faith in Jesus.
1 John 1:8-9 reminds us, ‘If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.’
This means that while we may stumble, God’s grace is always available to forgive us when we repent.
However, as we grow in our relationship with God, the Holy Spirit works in us to transform our hearts and help us turn away from sin. Romans 8:1 says, ‘Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.’
This doesn’t mean we take sin lightly, but it does mean that our salvation is not lost because we sin. Instead, we rely on God’s grace and seek to walk in obedience to Him out of love and gratitude.

Notice that - "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (1 John 1:9) is in contrast to - If we say that we have no sin, (present tense) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us (1 John 1:8) and - If we say that we have not sinned, (past tense) we make him a liar, and his word is not in us. (1 John 1:10)

Occasionally, I run across folks who misunderstand verse 9 to mean that we "must confess each and every sin that we commit as we commit them" (keep a specific inventory of every sin) as an "additional requirement" to "remain cleansed" and "if we forget a sin, we are toast!" Who could actually write an exhaustive list of every sin they have ever committed or ever will commit? Sin is not only missing the mark by what we do but also what we fail to do. (James 4:17)

Believers "confess" (Greek - homologeó) speak the same/acknowledge/agree with God's perspective about their sins and have a settled recognition and ongoing acknowledgment that one is a sinner in need of cleansing and forgiveness in contrast with saying that we have no sin or that we have not sinned. (1 John 1:8-10)

If you commit sin are you still of God?

Yes or no

and discussion

Has to be YES if we're honest

However such questions are never easy because the scriptures do play it both ways

For example sins are not counted against people, 2 Cor. 5:19 so there is zero basis to count sins against people, however this doesn't make anyone sinless

because

Sin is "of the devil," 1 John 3:8, Mark 4:15

Therefore anyone addressing various (seemingly) conflicts in scripture who do NOT have both people and devils in their analysis are going to come up short every time

In every case the tough scriptures and surface conflicts can be quite nicely remedied by having people and devils in their analysis, these being overlapped in this present life

AND anyone who says they have, present tense have NO SIN are flat out liars in any case and it's really not even them lying, it's our adversary speaking through them, in denial and hiding themselves in that person, found most often "in the assemblies" of believers. Not that anyone is exempt, but some are more vocal in their resistance to the fact that their sin really is "of the devil."

And 1 John 5:18 says , We know that whosoever is BORN of God sinneth NOT // OU , is a DISJUNCATIVE PARTICLE NEGATIVE

and that OU , MEANS yu neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr EVER can never ever SIN .

That is what 1 John 5 :18 means .

The question is , does verse 18 mean it is for today ?

Is it for tomorrow , maybe ??

Your thoughts as to when it happens ??

"that OU, MEANS yu neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr EVER can never ever SIN .That is what 1 John 5:18"
This is an incorrect conclusion.
Mat 1:25 And knew her not [ou] till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.
Matt 1:25 is the first occurrence of "ou" in the N .T. It does NOT mean "neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr EVER."

But in that passage ou did not mean "MEANS yu neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr EVER can never ever SIN ." as you said in post #2764 Ou is simply the Greek word for the simple word "not." It does not mean "neverrrrrrrrrrrrrr EVER can never ever."
