Odd. There was a company, Prestige Ameritech, making masks in Texas that offered to produce 1.5 million masks for the national stockpile back in January. They were told the US didn't need it. So, in January there was no need for masks, but in April it suddenly becomes a crisis manufacturing thing because people are dropping dead?

Yeah, sounds about right.

And Kushner and his group gave $4 million dollars to an "online" company for masks that didn't even exist because the need was so great?

Don't you just love competence and efficiency in times of crisis.

Such as shutting down travel from the country where the virus originated from, only to be labeled as "racist" by his haters--the very same haters who now say he didn't do it soon enough?

How many called him that again? Two people?

Gee, thanks for all those liberal sources to illustrate what type of "truth" we're to believe. It explains your one-sided assertions you originally made. Too bad you still aren't seeing the source of the problem you originally identified:

Well, now you know what those things are.

Then you should have no trouble at all in showing each of those reports to be false...?

I’ll wait...

Besides, China is where the virus originated from, so it made sense to ban travel from there.

And that’s the point....! He didn’t “ban travel from there”, even though that was the place of origin. Americans and Europeans were free to travel from the centre of infection into the US....only Chinese nationals were banned...!

Pssst.....a clue for you and Donald....the virus doesn’t discriminate over who it infects...

Well the WHO was against it.
Their Response to his travel restrictions imposed in late January.

In a warning to his colleagues at the WHO executive board meeting, Tedros stated that “panic and fear” were the real challenges in addressing the coronavirus outbreak.

“It’s no reason to really panic now,” he said. “The chances of getting this going to anywhere outside China is very low, and even in China, when you go to other provinces, it’s very low.”

Tedros also reiterated that there was no need for measures that “unnecessarily interfere with international travel and trade,” a point the WHO has repeated since it declared that the coronavirus an international emergency.

"Liberal sources"? Heck, most of the time news outlets are merely REPEATING trump's words verbatim (you DO realize there are usually video tapes of him saying all sorts of really stupid stuff, don't you?).
Yeah, but we can't take him at his word. They have to be interpreted by sources such as Fox News, OANN, and Russia Today to be "properly" understood.

I like how you know what “would have happened” based on things that didn’t happen, is that a Deluxe Magic Eight Ball®? (Or just wild speculation?)

The moves the President has made are the ones he thought would make himself look the best.
Getting ahead of the Coronavirus would have been the way to go, but he chose other options and we all lost.

The USA, with only 5% of the world’s population has had 31.9% of the “confirmed cases”.

Tell us all what a “big win” this is.
Outrage based on alternative facts, what would have happened but didn't, is a specialty of some.

If he would have done the lockdown here sooner, then he'd be blamed for fear-mongering and attempting to distract from the impeachment hearings.
But he would have been right and we’d be safer for it.

Good thing Trump decided on going with what “looks good” instead of what’s actually best for the country and its people. Otherwise we’d have something terrible like over a million cases and 90,000 deaths.

Would you have preferred that our president had stranded tens of thousands of American citizens in the country where the virus originated? That would be rather insensitive, don't you think (or care)?

Even though he did what you are now admitting "looks good" isn't even good enough for the Left, since they hate him anyway. Maybe they just hate the fact that they can't say that he didn't do the right thing after all, but I predict I'll be hearing that he didn't, in 3...2...1...

Look at the dates on those articles. Yes, about six weeks after he should have started buying the equipment we need, Trump finally got around to trying to get the needed equipment.

Why? So people could say that Trump looked like he must have had a vested interest in companies that make those things and was trying to scare the public in order to make money?

Nope. Just watching people here echoing the hate they hear in the MSM all day. Very predictable, even without a magic 8-ball.

The moves the President has made are the ones he thought would make himself look the best.

And most of those are in solidly leftist-controlled regions. New York City, anyone?

“It’s important, just go about your lives, continue living as you have,” de Blasio said, adding at a later date, “This should not stop you from going about your life. It should not stop you from going to Chinatown and going out to eat.”
Coronavirus Update: Did Local Leaders Send The Wrong Message In Early Days Of The Outbreak?

But yeah, keep blaming Trump if it makes you feel better.

When Trump acts like he is the President of the US and not just his base, I will be giving him slack. Right now, he is not giving this enough of his attention and is calling victory too soon. Calling for the states to open up before they even meet the criteria his team set up is my biggest issue.

And flattening the curve as never the criteria for loosening restrictions.

Then what was? Or was the lockdown meant to be something that lasts for as long as those who benefit from it want?

Your “mind-reading skills” need some calibration.
I would have been delighted if President Trump had had the wherewithal to rise to the challenge presented by this pandemic.
He could have shown us the quality of his mettle; oh, wait, he has!
I wish ye “Godspeed” in defending the indefensible.

No mind reading needed. Simply reading the anti-Trump posts on this forum and watching the MSM on TV is all that's needed to find out what those people think--unless they're just bluffing, that is.

The idea is to have the curve flatten and then curve downward. And that may not happen until there is a vaccine or we can successfully identify all the infected and quarantine them. Successful strategies other countries have done.

If we can get the testing up and contact tracing and/or tracking to know who to test. We have not gotten anywhere close to that goal.
