The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.
If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.
If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

People commit suicide when they can no longer handle the pain life brings. Your brain has coping resources for pain, but when they are out weighed by the pain then poeple kill themselves. It annoys me when people condemn people to hell for something they don't understand.HeavyMetalJesus777 said:Why would a Christian wanna commit suicide and yes u do go to hell because you are destroying God's temple.
Well even if suicide is murder you will still go to heaven because ALL of your sins have been forgiven. It is important to understand that the command, "You shall not murder," has no direct object. That is, it doesn't say, "You shall not murder someone else," or "You shall not murder your fellow man." It simply says, "You shall not murder." The prohibition thus includes not just the murder of one's fellow man but even the murder of oneself. While suicide is certainly not the "unforgivable sin," we must never forget that God prohibits murder of any kind.
I do, it does nothing, I still want to kill myself sometimes.PRAY!! PRAY!!

I have gotten to the point where I'd rather die and not exist than live for eternity in heaven. You can tell me how wonderful it will be blah blah, but still I'd rather just cease to exist.
I wish I had never been born in the first place, then I wouldn't have to worry about where I'm going when I die. How am I supposed to know which Christians have the real truth, the Protestants (I am one) say you just have to ask for forgiveness to be saved, whereas the Catholics say you have to be baptized as well. What if they are right? What if I don't have a chance to get baptised and the Catholics are right and I am sent to hell. Well great even more suffering for me even though I didn't even ask to be born in the first place.
When reading Bible verses it makes me feel better for a while, but then I fall right back down into my depression so I just don't see the point, I'd rather just stay down here than feel happy for a while and fall again and be disappointed.Cutes4Jesus said:You say when you quote bible verses the 'person just wont care',well ive been there so i know what im talking about to an extent people respond to different things. When i feel depressed i just keep on praying sometimes i find it hard to get into worship but i find prayers even short prayers helpful...
I agree, wb. I don't think there is any "good" advice that people can give me. No one can truly empathize. bla bla sorry I have no energy to type more. When you become suicidal you just don't care anymore, it doesn't matter how many Bible verses you quote, the person just won't care.
