Thank you to everyone who sent me PM's, your words were very uplifting.
Yesterday morning I had been unpacking some things of my Grandmothers I got after she passed. One of them was this little blue plaque of the Holy Family that I put on my Icon table and it just made me break down. I was very close with my Grandma. To distract me I came online to ask some questions about rearranging my icon corner, but obviously I unknowingly asked a question about a sensitive subject that some have had effect them in the past.
It was just a horrible combination I think of an emotional morning and a sensitive issue. Michael has PM'd me and I him, and I think it's best if we just let the issue drop now.
TAW, when I came, seemed like a very positive place. It's why I could convince my friend to let me join - he forbade me from joining all other Orthodox Forums. I let the rosy view get in the way of remembering we're all human. As Ioannis said, if all the positive people leave TAW will end up just as angry as the other forums.
I'm sorry I got a little childish and stormed off. I should know better. As I've told others in PM's I'm going to stick around (though I might just lurk for a while at first) and I'd hope nobody else leaves because of my thread. I've asked the mods to close the thread after this post; I think it's in all our best interests to move forward and not focus on wrongs of the past but try to maintain TAW's good, welcoming atmosphere.
