What a sweet program ... sweet and innocent. And I remember The Magic Boomerang.
We mainly grew up watching American shows , but OZ did have a few that we watched as well.
The 2 min intro.
Can't believe that I watched an episode on youtube the other day , not sure what I was thinking....
Yes I think most of us would be guilty of doing that too , but it is fun.I go thru periods where I'll go back and review something from the 'way back' past. (It's so cool that we can find so much history on the internet!) I like to see some of these things, to remember how things 'were' .
lol....I really don't know , my radio channel is always on 60s , 70s and 80s music.(Speaking of 'reminiscing' ... )
I remember when contemporary popular music was romantic.
(Do they even make music like this anymore ... anywhere???)
When I posted that song yesterday, I did not know at the time that (the original) Little River Band was an Australian band! And after listening to that song about a dozen times (lol!), videos about LRB kept appearing on my YouTube, so I saw there were some interesting stories in their history.lol....I really don't know , my radio channel is always on 60s , 70s and 80s music.
And thanks for the reminiscing , great song.

I remember catching yabbies on farm properties with dams.
We would use one of mums old stockings and place some rotten smelly meat in the bottom of the stocking then throw in the stocking holding the other end. And within minuets 3 or 4 would get hooked while trying to get to the meat.
The fun part was watching your friends scream in pain as a yabbie would latch onto a finger or thumb while trying to get them off the stocking.
Needless to say , this method is no longer used today , they use traps and nets now......( sad )
We were only kids of like 8 , 9 or 10 and took them home for our mothers to cook. They are like mini crayfish and taste similar. That's interesting.
What did you do with the yabbies? Use them for bait? (Cook and eat them?)
That method of fishing makes me think of 'noodling'.
Are you familiar with noodling?
I heard about noodling when I lived in Oklahoma.
(At first, I thought it was a joke ... afterall,, who would do such a thing nowadays?? Surely not me!)
But no ... noodling is for real, and folks here are still doing it!
Here's a look at some Oklahoma catfish noodlers:
Your post reminded me of something. As kids reading comic books there was an ad on the last page like this :-Going to Gibson's on a Friday night and getting a model war ship to build over the weekend.

We thought we could actually order this and take it to the beach and go underwater. Then we saw the small print where it said , "you can have hours of imaginary fun with this sub" , needless to say , we didn't order..lol
So funny ... the stuff we use to fall for!
I remember those dried up little seahorses they use to sell alot when I was a kid.
What was the purpose of those, I wonder?
