I swear, I came to this thread today to post about riding in cars without seatbelts, then I saw your post. For a while, the family had a convertible, and I remember at least once mom was driving slow on a residential street, and I was standing up in my seat waving at friends. Oh my, if anybody saw that today mom would be doing prison time for child endangerment, lol.

Movie wise do people remember Doc Savage: The Man of Bronze it was a one and done film. A buddy of mine said at the time they were going to do more kind of like James Bond was being done. But i think it did bad and never resurfaced again.

It's got to be very difficult being a parent these days. There are so many ways today for parents to potentially get 'into trouble' with the law. Lol, by today's standards, my folks would be in the cell next to your mom's!

I do! I had just bought the first issue of the comic book which had just come out (and I still have). I loved the comic so I was excited to go see the film. But, I can't remember a single thing about the film so I'm guessing it wasn't too good.

A lot of women were doing it but I remember being able to buy jeans that were already tight at the ankles , it was a cool look at the time.

And sorry if some don't like it , but one of my favorite beats at the time was Donna Summer with I feel love.

Amazon had the movie dvd for sale for $9.00 so i ordered it and watched it tonight. Not bad i remember the green snakes and at the end it had Doc checking his answering machine. With another crises to take on and it stated, watch out for the next new thrilling Adventure The Arch Enemy of Evil.

It was very prominent in the 1984,85,86,87 + that is when i remember it and that was when i was at college. I do not remember seeing it in 1983 my first year of college.
