The BLOOD is His LOVE. The whole motivation for Him shedding His blood is love. So that we might know a love so wide and vast and deep that we might finally be drawn to that goodness, to HIM, over the evil of this world. It's not symbolic, its real: Love triumphs over sin. Love, the more of it we embrace and have, opposes and excludes sin. And that love comes only from God, its Source. If you were saying that as symbolic, then it would work, but you're not.
So, its not the love of God that redeemed the world from Sin, its the BLOOD of God.
Ok, so you acknowledge that we're still, in reality, sinners.
Jesus did tell us not to judge others and that if we set ourselves up as a teacher, more will be expected of us. Just saying.
Sure about that?
I'm not with you. What sort of thing?
Of course I'm not sure 100% either but it's irrelevant to me because if it turned out that is was true and there was a fiery hell with lots of little demons with pitchforks in attendance then I would reject such a God who created that anyway. But I am as sure as I am about anything that it isn't like that because God loves us more than we can ever know.
I figured you'd resort to that-and then offer no reason for your objection. But address that same post #1355 without that verse-it stands true either way.You have no idea what this verse is talking about.
So, why post verses that you can't explain?
Are you trying to impress yourself by posting verses that you can't even understand, by discernment?
Listen, the only way to "perish" is this.....>John 3:36
If it's all cut and dried, why are the predestinated people even here?*
One of my early ones was that salvation simply comes down to those who accept and those who reject.
That looks like another assurance of salvation verse.
And how about eternal torment just because you didn’t believe? On a fairness level that seems worse yet, and either way there’s an obligation placed upon us. The obligation to believe or else suffer eternally or the obligation to finally be righteous, as we come to believe, or else suffer eternally.
There’s a bigger picture to it all though. God is saying that, ‘Unless you choose love, embracing good over evil, you will exist eternally without it, without Me. But I’m patient, I work on showing you the reality and the beauty and necessity of love, drawing you towards it, towards Me, and give you every chance to accept.
And then I’ll judge you fairly, by your heart, knowing your history and every reason why you might find it more difficult to embrace the light than not. But I won’t force goodness upon you. If you prefer darkness, if you prefer cold, selfish pride over humble self-giving love, I’ll ultimately let you have what you want, which is existence without it, apart from Me.
But come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. I stand knocking at your door. Open it.'
And you can't even be shown that you can't even know what you're talking about.
Instead, you're trying to apply Pauline terminology to what Jesus said.
Doesn't seem like Barnabus was under the Kingdom Law either. Should be interesting how this plays out.
.
"he that is spiritual judgeth all things"..
Also, i didnt set myself up to be anything.
I have my call, and i pursue them for a long time now.
Yes if they remain in Christ.
BTW, it's "than that", not "so much more to it then that". If you're going to call someone out for what you perceive as their lack of math skills,
Salvation is not what we do, but its what God has done as Jesus.
Jesus is Salvation.....>His life, His blood, His death, which is RIGHTEOUSNESS.
This is given to us, in the Spirit realm, and we become this very Righteousness that He is Himself.
This is God's Gift of Righteousness.
We are "Made Righteous", by this GIFT, who is Jesus.
Its Jesus, Himself, who is our Salvation, and we become in spiritual UNION with Him, as born again.
So, you think that Paul preaching to these Lost Jews....imploring them to not reject (willfully sin) their Messiah, is just a game of words? Just some imaginary script, some allegory?
Wake up.
The truth is that all should fear eternal separation from God, the source of all goodness, light, love, and sheer unbridled happiness. But the more we know and love Him, the more we embrace Him-and that love ultimately expels any fear. And love expels sin, by its nature, in the process. That's where He seeks to draws us all to.I wasn't talking about fairness though. It's not those who choose not to believe who fear hell, it's the many who choose to believe and choose love, embracing good over evil, who fear hell.
