Lets look at this....

'"walking.....................IN...........THE Spirit."""

So, whose Spirit?

Yours?
It can't
be yours, as your Spirit is already always ON. Its ALIVE, and made so by God.

See, you dont learn to walk in THAT, as that is already constantly in process = born again.

So, that means, you are to walk in someone else's.
How do you walk there?
You walk there the same way you are : "seated in Heavenly places in Christ".
You walk there the same way you the born again have become...."As Jesus IS< so are the born again IN THIS WORLD".
You walk there the exact same way you are in the world but not OF It, because you have been "translated From Darkness.....TO LIGHT".
So...

This is why the verse tells you to walk in THE Spirit.
See, The verse is talking to you, spiritually, and not just as words on a page.

And remember, ....when you are learning how to see the light in the word, and not just the words on the page, there are keys, to notice.
And one of them is to notice = "THE". As often the NT will be talking about something SPECIFIC and not in the general sense, and so, it will say....."THE"....>"THE"......"THE".........as in Jesus is THE Way, and not just a way. And Christ hung on THE Cross, and not just a cross.
See that?
Notice the "THE's.

Now, when you are told to walk in THE Spirit, then that is a Specific direction and not just a random or general idea.
And the "walking" in this verse, is not you trying to be good, or you trying to live right, or you trying to present your body as a living sacrifice, as all that is just generic discipleship.

So, what is "THE Spirit"?.... = Its Jesus's MIND of Faith and Belief.
Its this....>"the MIND of Christ".
Its this, > "God's Perspective, regarding all things".
And for you to get THERE, within your Spirituality, you have to "Put on the new man", and "renew your mind".
And that means, you have to understand HOW to align your mind with God's perspective of YOU, so that you only SEE yourself as God's has recreated you to be, as a "new Creation in Christ".
And Saint, that is not a saved sinner.
God does not see you as a saved sinner. God sees you as a HEIR of God and a Joint Heir with Jesus.
God sees you as a SAINT, as a Temple of the Holy Spirit.
Do you see you like that?
If not, Then you are not yet in the "right mind" or the "renewed" mind.
And if you are in a denomination that does not teach you what im showing you, then you need to consider finding a better teacher, and a denomination that is all about "Pauline Theology".

So, once you do come to this understanding, and you must do it.... and stay there, you are walking in The Spirit, which is to REST in God's Grace.
See, when you learn to see yourself only as God has made you to be as the "new Creation" in Christ, then you are finally in the perfect faith.
And in THERE, is where you find this.....>"Christ always GIVES ME = The Victory".

So, how do you put on and renew? How do you put on the New Man and Renew your mind?
You must learn to only see yourself as God has recreated you to be, as "ONE WITH GOD", "In Christ". "made Righteous", and always having "Eternal Life".
That is who you are, in GOD's eyes.
And when you get those same enlightened spiritual inner eyes, that is to only SEE YOURSELF as God has recreated you to eternally exist as the "new Creation".... then you are finally "walking in THE Spirit", but not until you see this and become this same "mind" having put it on.

But we are spiritually dead, because of our sin. Yes, we do have a soul, but we are spiritually dead = we have no connection to God.

That is why we have to be born again. But there is nothing we can do to do that, well, because we are dead in our sins. It is God in His grace that He will pour His Spirit on us. We can offer nothing to God. We cannot convince Him. We can only pray that God reveals who He is to us, that He pours His Spirit in His grace on us, that He gives us spiritual sight that we may see.

Then if the God pours His Spirit on you, then you ask the Spirit to guide you, to teach you faith and obedience and how to walk with Him. The Holy Spirit will work in you mysteriously, yet wonderfully.

We must work out our salvation, bible: Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. And we must be righteous, bible: And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

Psalm 14: “None is righteous, no, not one; 11 no one understands; no one seeks for God.
12 All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.”

Romans 3:12 "They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."

We cannot be righteous as we are sinners, only God is righteous. Only if Jesus blood covers us, then we are righteous in Jesus, but not our righteousness but His.

Ephesians 2:9 'Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.'

Not quite. Only God can make us righteous.
I will put my law in their minds
and write it on their hearts.
I will be their God,

Bible: Then shall ye return, and discern between the righteous and the wicked, between him that serveth God and him that serveth him not.

No one serves God, unless God in His grace pours His spirit on Him. Unless God reveals Himself to us, we don't even know Him. We only have false image of god in our head, thinking that's who he is, according to how we want to see him. That's why Jesus told Nicodemus he has to born of water and the Spirit. If you think you can achieve righteousness on your own, then you are dead wrong. Why else would Jesus has to come and die for our sins?

I said that only God can make us righteous, yet is not our righteousness but Jesus'. We have to be adopted as His children. Then we become part of His body, Jesus is the head.

Well, no.

God accounts the believer righteous because of the believer's faith and trust in Christ who is righteous.

Romans 4:22-24 "but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead." (NIV)

Well, no.

Faith is the instrument God uses to bring salvation to His people. God gives faith because of His grace and mercy, because He loves us. The Bible emphasizes that faith is a gift because God deserves all of the glory for our salvation. God wants Christians to understand they have done nothing to earn faith, it’s only because of what Christ did on the cross that God gives anyone faith

I don't want to achieve nothing.
Jesus is not the only righteous, not the only way, bible have to say this because every religion must say it, else no one will accept it.
To what extent would a person who professes that point of view rightly be considered a Christian?

And by the way, most of the world's great religions DO NOT say what the Bible says about Jesus. It is evident, therefore, that people accept Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism, Buddhism, Shinto and the others without them claiming that Jesus is the only one righteous and the only way to salvation.

Well, no.

God accounts the believer righteous because of the believer's faith and trust in Christ who is righteous.

Romans 4:22-24 "but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead." (NIV)
Abraham believed-and also did what was right-the two are inseparable. He did God's will because he believed. So Paul can even say in Rom 2:13:
“For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God’s sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous.”

Faith works, works through self-giving love to put it correctly, rather than a self-serving self-motivated pretense at righteousness which is legalism, to be "under the law".
"The only thing that counts is faith working through love." Gal 5:6

"... if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing."
1 Cor 13:2

"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, so that the outside may become clean as well." Matt 23:25-26

We have to read all of the bible, including all of Paul's writings to flesh out his theology. Faith pleases God immensely because it places man back into right stead and order with Him, into the communion that man was made for and which Adam effectively rejected. That union is the very basis of man's righteousness. And that righteousness is personal and real, and must be and remain in place, as we remain in Him. We're not only forgiven of sin but our lack of righteousness is now replaced with the real thing, the gift of the Spirit which we must act upon.
"...not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith." Phil 3:9

Love defines that righteousness more fully than any other virtue, which is why 'love fulfills the law', and why the greatest commandments are what they are:
"And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." Rom 5:5

At any rate it must all be put into use; this justice/righteousness must be exercised:
"But now that you have been set free from sin and have become slaves of God, the return you get is sanctification and its end, eternal life." Rom 6:22

"Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live."
Rom 8:12-13

That's how we really walk in the Spirit, not just by seeing ourselves as righteous, but by doing, by being righteous as we've been equipped and empowered to do.
"Dear children, do not let anyone lead you astray. The one who does what is right is righteous, just as he is righteous. The one who does what is sinful is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning." 1 John 3:7-8

Absolutely-he was declared righteous because of what he did. God doesn't declare anyone righteous for mere external obedience of the law, but for acting in accord with His will. The law cannot justify IOW-only He can do that. And there's no conflict between that and this:
"You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." James 2:24

Because God gives us the righteousness with which to act righteously. Faith is the doorway to all of that.

I don't think you become saved only if you see yourself as saved. You can see if your saved if you sin, since saved cannot sin, according to bible. But to be saved you must be righteous.

If you are saved, and you mean born again, then you are righteous.

You are "the righteousness OF God.....IN Christ".

Each person who is born again, has received "the GIFT of Righteousness".

The NT says the born again are "made righteous".

Its this verse. John 17:21.""""" That they all may be ONE; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us""

See that "ONE"? That is this..

1.) IN CHRIST

2. ) ONE with GOD

3. ) BORN Again
