Do you seriously have to ask this?
Even YOU believe those things I wrote are real.
As I like to point out:
You don't see the Bible being sold in the FICTION section.
Would JKR die for what she wrote -- claiming she wrote the facts? in your opinion?Non sequitur. The authorship of the various books of the Bible is generally not known for certain.
In any case, it's quite possible that in time people will say that JKR did die claiming what she wrote was real. And if there was no way to check it, how would we be able to say otherwise?
Which came first, in your opinion? God or belief in God?The things in that list do not prove that God is real, they only prove that people BELIEVE he is real.
That is correct.Kylie said:People believing something does not mean that what they believe is true.
Neither do I.Kylie said:I don't see any of the other holy texts being sold in the fiction section either.
Do you belief that? if not, mind if I don't either?Kylie said:Maybe they're ALL true!
Well for the record, the only facet of science I know of that can evidence God is cause-and-effect.
David wrote of it:Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. But it's vast enough that others can apply it to other religions, claim equal airtime, then end up throwing the baby out with the bathwater.
That's ... just ... odd.My family is growing larger every year because my wife and I gather wet babies, rinse off the soap, and take them home. In the summer we dry them all on the clothesline in the backyard.
People just keep tossing them out with the bathwater. That's ... just ... odd.

Some of the works of Paul are thought to be written by him. The problem is that he himself admitted that he was not an eyewitness. His "evidence" only consisted of visions and it appears that he disagreed with some of the disciples that did know Jesus when he was alive. And Paul was very probably killed for his beliefs. But there is no evidence that he was offered a chance to recant. In fact there are no reliable sources that can support Av's beliefs. There were two or three actual martyrs that are well supported. The rest are merely church tradition, in other words stories without supporting evidence.Non sequitur. The authorship of the various books of the Bible is generally not known for certain.

Then I'll just take Post 1420 with a grain of salt.Probably not. So what?
How would you know? The " science " parts of bible are fiction.

Would JKR die for what she wrote -- claiming she wrote the facts? in your opinion?Considering that, for the most part, you can't show that the authors usually given credit for the books of the Bible actually wrote them, your question is irrelevant.
The better question would be: In the future, would people claim JKR died for what she wrote if it got people to believe that the Harry Potter books were true, thus giving the people making the claim a way to influence those who believed the claim?
I think we both know the answer is yes.
And there's the biggest difference in our view of history. You know I'm an atheist, right? I don't think God has come at all.
So you are not keen on observation and documentation? The " science " parts of bible are fiction.
Then I'll go ahead and take your Post 1420 with a grain of salt.It doesn't matter.
As I've already explained.
