A lot more than eight, plus all the other boatloads, plus the locals.
Yes, other people came, maybe over 600 years there were enough people finding Egypt a great destination in the same way. The local's population in america may have actually suffered, and I don't think they got their way in influencing a distinct overall culture.

They didn't develop a whole civilization - language, architecture, writing, cities, armies etc from nothing.
True, much later situation to be comparing... they had backgrounds sure, but still developed pretty much from nothing.

Mizraim, Noah's grandson, was the father of the Egyptians.

Genesis 10:6 And the sons of Ham; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan.

I'm not sure if you're comprehending the problem here, forget about America.

Worldwide flood > Population reduced to eight > A few hundred years later the Egyptian civilization (and many other populations across the world) is flourishing.

What do you suppose the global population could have been in 3000 - 2500 BC if it was reduced to eight a couple of hundred years before?

It's impossible.

That was my point... it doesn't take people long to get going.

Impossible.

And you think that the distinct cultures we see in Egypt, China, Australia, Europe, South America etc sprung up developed their own languages etc in that time?
