So this is one example where a plain reading of scripture is inaccurate. What should the correct translation be, then? Why were bats enumerated among the "fowl of the air" when the Bible was translated into English?

Decisions decisions. Will it be Jesus the Word of God, or will it be L'anatra? I think I will choose Jesus who wrote the Bible through the men that HE inspired infallibly. Put two and two together.
