• The General Mental Health Forum is now a Read Only Forum. As we had two large areas making it difficult for many to find, we decided to combine the Mental Health & the Recovery sections of the forum into Mental Health & Recovery as a whole. Physical Health still remains as it's own area within the entire Recovery area.

If you are having struggles, need support in a particular area that you aren't finding a specific recovery area forum, you may find the General Struggles forum a great place to post. Any any that is related to emotions, self-esteem, insomnia, anger, relationship dynamics due to mental health and recovery and other issues that don't fit better in another forum would be examples of topics that might go there.

If you have spiritual issues related to a mental health and recovery issue, please use the Recovery Related Spiritual Advice forum. This forum is designed to be like Christian Advice, only for recovery type of issues. Recovery being like a family in many ways, allows us to support one another together. May you be blessed today and each day.

Gotta love you be still, ha ha!

yes, laughing is healing-did peeps know this?

It releases endorphins, which makes us feel better, at least for a time.

does anyone know if its a few hours?
Some days I'll watch comedy more than other days, from YouTube, on to TV, through my Roku player, which is free. My favorite Ministers, Preachers, Teachers alive and gone home are also on YouTube. Who is peeps?

I get this. Its a work ethic that dies hard in our minds. I still work with all my physical issues but I know sooner or later I will lose the battle and not be able to work. Its hard to go from taking care of business at work and around the house to doing only what you can tolerate. It doesn't help when ppl who don't understand the struggle add to the load with poorly placed comments.

You can only do what you can do and if you over do it then you can cause yourself more unnecessary pain and limitations.

Did you try a new diet? Eating more fruits and veggies is helping me a lot.

This has become a problem for me again. Last week I had a really bad flare up in my back. I missed three days of work, and I've been put on light duty by my doctor. I returned to work today for only a six hour shift, and the pain was almost unbearable. I wasn't much help at all. I'm dreading tomorrow, but I have to have an income.
