Why should I do such a thing as that when I already know what you think of my earlier interpretation of this topic? You said of an earlier quote of mine that it was about the worst hermeneutics that you had ever encountered.

Really I think the best thing would be for you to lend your interpretation, and then I will tell you what I think of it. And I promise it will not be in an insulting way, as I don't think there is much to be gained by insults.

But if you can't see your way clear to do this, if I have the time this weekend, I will put together a further 'commentary' on Matthew 24 for your consideration.

Or it may have been felt justified and necessary by their assumptions that this passage was talking of some future end and remaking of the physical world by the misdefinition [again possibly intentional by the kjv peoples] of the word aeon as world [kosmos] in vs 3.

Sodom/Gomorrah, the previous destruction of Jerusalem and the subsequent destruction of Babylon by the Medes [Isaiah 13] are all pre-cursers and fore-types of the destruction and latter end of physical Jerusalem of the mosaic covenant.

The 'destruction of them all" [all but the believing remnant who would escape like Lot or Noah {Ez 14} was foretold in the very giving of the conditional, national covenant by Moses in Deut 4:25,26, Deut 18:15-19; Deut 31:29; Deut 32:20,29. Peter confirmed that the time of Deut 18's fulfillment and the unbelievers from among the peoples lives would be demanded of them. It was upon them of that time in Acts 3:22-24 as is declared by Peters use of the word 'these days'. The destruction of the city and temple [and people] 'like a flood' was foretold in Dan 9 and again referred to in Isaiah 59:19 which joins Dan 9 and Deut 32 by the phrase of 'when the enemy comes in like a flood'.

Even as Daniel prays in Dan 9 and 10 he is given further details and additional information about those 'latter days' of the mosaic covenant which were foretold by Moses and recorded in the book of Deuteronomy. Compare Deut 29:31 with Dan 10:14 written 1000 yrs later and after Daniel confessed the babylonian captivity to be the curse of the law of Moses [Deut 28:15] as prescribed in Deut 30:1-5.

Here is the definition from STONGS LEXICON

1074. genea ghen-eh-ah' from (a presumed derivative of) 1085;
a generation; by implication, an age (the period or the persons):--age, generation, nation, time.

But more importantly is the limited manner in which Genea was used.

Evens Strongs concordance sometimes defines words by interpretations which may be bias.

Genos is not the same idea as Genea or Genemma. If it were, there would be no need for the duplicate words.

Genea is limited by time.
