I believe the number will be very small. No real data to represent it but (1-5%). Mainly Matthew 7:13 comes to mind concerning the way is narrow that leads to salvation and few travel it.
Its saddening knowing that not only in this life are People without God and the joy and love and peace that He brings to use here..but for the rest of Eternity they will either be Separated.
Its even more saddening realizing that people WANT to be without God. I heard an interesting talk about Paul Washer on Election and he made a point where if God opened the gates and just said "if you want to be with Me, just come in" and every human would walk about because without God opening our hearts and drawing near to us we would hate Him and everything He stands for. It was shocking but revealed so much truth.
Thinking of this subject burdens me and should burden the church to Preach the Gospel to everyone. Especially to those who have not heard the name of the Lord but also to these calloused lukewarm Christians. We also should have more ministries on college campus, rural outreaches, inner city. It saddens me and as I develop a deeper relationship with Christ the more I want to reach these souls.
Sorry for my rant. But yes. Very few will follow the narrow path to Heaven, and many will take the easy road to Hell, but not because God is making them but because they decided thats what they'd prefer.
Rant over. Sorry.
