• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

How far would you go?

don't you love it when that happens??? The Lord moves in mysterious ways don't he:scratch: lol.

:D Put me in my place! ;) However, if I didn't come back home, I wouldn't have the wonderful relationship I have now with some family members that really was very, very strained.

I used to 'live' for coming home and watching hockey highlights on Sportscenter/NHL2night after my second-shift job. Then I got the internet and decided I couldn't afford cable AND the net (unfortunately I still have dial-up) so I got rid of the cable. I really don't miss it. You find other things to do. I've toyed with the idea of getting it again along with the high-speed internet but it's just way too expensive for me right now. I need to save up for a new car. I guess it's all about your priorities.

It would have to be one incredible girl and God telling me to go because I can't see myself living anywhere but where I'm at now.

My family, while they annoy me at times, is very important to me and all live in the general area. A number of friends also live nearby. It would be very difficult to pick up and leave that.

You never know though.....

300 cable channels or the lady you love . . .hmm, toughie, 'eh?

Guess we know who would run the remote control then.
It's funny even with 300 channels, sometimes "nothing is on" (worth watching anyway)! I mainly watch reruns of old shows and the Weather Channel. With DVR you can watch 1 program while you are simultaneously recording 2 other programs and have picture in a picture! But I guess I could get along without cable. After all, there is DirecTV satellite and NFL Sunday Ticket (as an alternative!) But I don't know if they offer DVR :)

I once moved 1800 miles so that I was only living 8 miles from my boyfriend.

Nowadays I'm not so foot-loose and fancy-free. I am more of a planner. It would depend on how willing he would be to sacrifice for me. Now it's not just how much I like someone.

It's more of the question of are WE in LOVE with EACHOTHER! At that point.. if I had a ring on my finger, I'd go anywhere. No more, "well, I'll see if it works out and if it doesn't oh well, at least I had an adventure" moves!

I've been blessed (cursed??) with wanderlust, so I've never had an issue picking up and moving. I don't become attached to places. I would move anywhere for a man with whom I was in love and married. I would hope, however, that he would want to move to Canada, or Scotland, or Ireland, or England. :D

Kidding....

Sorta.
