And, I still think the faith to evolution will erode your faith to God.
And I stand here as living proof that you are mistaken. Will you admit a mistake, or cling to vanity?

Evolution IS a faith. In particular, when it is used to convince people about human origin. Mounting amount of "evidences" in the study of evolution is hugh enough to frighten most people in churches and to convince students below the level of Ph.D.
(that is one of the reason that most churches close an eye to it). But for people who study evolution, they know it has to take a faith to believe in it.
Didn't you recently quote Sun Tzu about how it is important to know your enemy? Yet so many Christians who argue against evolution simply cannot conceive of a way of thinking and understanding any different from theirs, so evolution is 'faith', scientists 'worship' Darwin, they quote the Origin of Species as if scientists hold it up as a sacred text, and if science has advanced in the last 150 years they think they have shown the sacred text errant and disproved evolution. Completely failing to understand how science work.Evolution IS a faith. In particular, when it is used to convince people about human origin. Paleontology can not cheat me any more. What I am struggling now is the genetics. I really wish there will be more YEC geneticists who can coach the argument.

Where's your proof? Why should we believe your faith is strong.Living proof of what? Having a weaker faith or a stronger faith? Where is the proof?
Evolution is faith in the same way as gravity and electricity are taken as faith. We don't know what they are...yet at the same time we can measure them and use them.Evolution IS a faith.

Of course the other reason, sadly, people cling to these misunderstandings is they want it to be true. It is always easier to argue against a strawman. Obviously evolution is wrong and it would make such a great sounding argument if the strawman were true, the strawman must be true. I doubt Sun Tzu would have approved of basing your strategy on wishful thinking.
If the Church closes their eyes to things, how can they see clearly ?

I did not say I have any proof. The lady said that.
Faith on gravity, etc. will not weaken (but could strengthen) your faith to God.
Faith on evolution, CERTAINLY WILL !
I did not say I have any proof.
My church is a small one with about 250 in the congregation. Believe it or not, I am the only scientist in the church. I do not expect people in my church to make successful argument against evolution. But they don't have to. There are other ways. The strawman strategy you mentioned is not necessary a bad one.
The proof is in her Self. Where's your proof that you have faith. You talk about it...but why should any of us believe that you have any? Where's your proof? All I've gotten thus far in this thread is that because of the perceived threat of evolution, your faith is in shaky ground. The Lady says her faith is not threatened like yours is. That makes me think that her faith in Jesus Christ is stonger than yours.I did not say I have any proof. The lady said that.
The Art of War by SunTze is a BOOK of many chapters. It is not just an one-line teaching. Of course, one would have problem if tried to thoroughly understand his enemies every time. But, there are other strategies to win. We can not understand satan. But we can beat him.

God says those people who are not bothered by "the depth of satan" are blessed.
Indeed, it is this passage in 2 Peter which makes me wonder if what is called a "day" in Genesis is really referring to the "24 Earth hours" we know as a day. If you look at most of the Creation description in Genesis 1, the order in which the events took place is fairly similar to scientific understanding of the order in which the world took form. Some of the problems people -- including some people of faith -- have with the description of the creation in Gen. 1 is that they read it in a way that requires them to believe the Earth was created in a period of time we know on Earth as 144 hours. But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.
What is this really saying about God I wonder?
