I understand that the saints in heaven do not take the place of Christ as our mediatorSorry, but I don't like your signature, because it contradicts scripture.
1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
What part of ONE do you not understand??
Those who are born from above are in the Fathers eyes perfect, but ONLY ONLY because of the substitutionary atonement of Christ. ALL the rest are under law, and the law kills.
2Co 3:3 And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
2Co 3:4 Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God.
2Co 3:5 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God,
2Co 3:6 who has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Law kills, that's why nobody will ever be saved by doing good, salvation by works is a false gospel.
Jas 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law but fails in one point has become accountable for all of it.
I understand that the saints in heaven do not take the place of Christ as our mediator
just as I am sure you understand that in praying for our brothers and sisters on earth, we do not take the place of Christ as being the one mediator.

My enlightenment comes from the Holy Spirit, not from an Angel of God, this allows me to right now discern that your are in deliberate self deception stuck in tradition.

I thought what I said made sense?
you pray for other people and ask other people to pray for you right?
and you recognize this does not take the place of Christ in His special role as mediator?
well Catholics and Eastern Orthodox do not think the saints in heaven take the place of Christ in His special role as mediator
Are you working towards becoming a god like the Mormons?? That's what the Rcc teaches you, right.
no, I am not working to become a god, that is not the teaching of my Church. Are you working towards becoming a god like the Mormons?? That's what the Rcc teaches you, right.
Not sure what that has to do with canonized Saints, but what do you make of John 10:34?Are you working towards becoming a god like the Mormons?? That's what the Rcc teaches you, right.
no, I am not working to become a god, that is not the teaching of my Church.
I am sorry I overlooked your post
the mormon church believes that Jesus was just a man and that after he died he became a god
and if you are a good mormon, the same can happen for you
Catholics believe that in the begining was the Word (Logos) and the Word was with God and the Word was God
that is from the begining of the Gospel according to St.John
and that Jesus Christ is the Word of God made flesh
and that those who die in friendship with Christ do not take up the Divine Nature
so no it is not like the mormons
Sorry but you don't even know what your church teaches! I'll prove it by your own official CCC, but I'm sure you will poo poo that away also.
That is a rather unilateral declaration, don't you think?
RCC, EOC, whatever. Wake up ye guides of the blind. You need no man to teach you traditions of men.
No its not, its the truth.
