I understand that the saints in heaven do not take the place of Christ as our mediator
just as I am sure you understand that in praying for our brothers and sisters on earth, we do not take the place of Christ as being the one mediator.

My enlightenment comes from the Holy Spirit, not from an Angel of God, this allows me to right now discern that your are in deliberate self deception stuck in tradition.

you pray for other people and ask other people to pray for you right?
and you recognize this does not take the place of Christ in His special role as mediator?
well Catholics and Eastern Orthodox do not think the saints in heaven take the place of Christ in His special role as mediator

the mormon church believes that Jesus was just a man and that after he died he became a god
and if you are a good mormon, the same can happen for you

Catholics believe that in the begining was the Word (Logos) and the Word was with God and the Word was God
that is from the begining of the Gospel according to St.John
and that Jesus Christ is the Word of God made flesh
and that those who die in friendship with Christ do not take up the Divine Nature
so no it is not like the mormons
