Look at my sig line . . Salvation is a process . .
When you are saved is when your life ends and you have reached the end of the path . . if you are not on the path, then you are not saved . .
....Peace in Him!
Hi there!
I have an assurance that I am "saved" today... and you may have the same assurance. I don't have to wait until I am on my deathbed and I hear heaven's music to know that I will make heaven.
God isn't a yo-yo god where you are saved today, lost tomorrow, saved today, lost tomorrow. He's a matter-of-fact God that isn't changing at whim. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
If I know I am saved by the grace of God today, then I have the assurance that God's has enough grace to keep me saved tomorrow... and the day after, and every moment until I am in His presence.
If you don't have that same assurance, then I would tell you to get back in the book until you do.
Yes, salvation is a process... and that process goes from the moment that you accept Christ and begin a new life in Christ, follow in believer's baptism, seek the will of God, grow in grace, grow in wisdom, etc. etc. etc. and that process continues until you are in the actual presence of God...
if you are not on the path, then you are not saved
Being in the process of salvation doesn't mean that the relationship with Christ is lost because the fellowship is broken. If you aren't on the path today, then you never were... but your path may meander through a lot of hardships, toils, and struggles where your faith falters, but that doesn't mean that your faith fails.
