How did Nephilim make a comeback after the flood?

Nephilim are mentioned twice in the Bible. The first time was in
Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

They were extinguished in
Genesis 7:23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; people and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds were wiped from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those with him in the ark.

Nephilim reappeared in
Numbers 13:33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.

Presumably, they made a reappearance the second time as they did the first time when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them.

The nephilim were part of the false report given by the spies who did not believe God would give the Hebrews the land (god took their life for this lie). Notice when the Hebrews actually conquered the land no mention of nephilim.

They were technologically advanced so could avoid the flood, then touch down again.

Biblically, not all angels are depicted having wings, though there were some in Jeremiah.

The giants were the offspring of the Nephilim. According to Deuteronomy Chapter 2, God lead the humans to kill them off.

Similar events conceivably occurred outside of the middle east also.

Based on passage, they were there before the flood and then after.

Many ancient civilizations had pyramid type structures, some of which had landing strips.

There's only one verse. You referred to it already in the OP. the bold words are before and after.

The subject of Nephilim is a disputable matter since nothing regarding it can be proven with a mountain of scriptural evidence for each point.

Sorry that I am slow. Can you display it exactly?
The word for Nephilim means they descended or "fell" from somewhere. So during the flood period, they would have "ascended" and then "fell" again afterwards. Another hypothesis, is they were so tall that they just stood upright during the flood like kids in the shallow end of the pool.

See bolded parts of the scripture passages.

Genesis 6:4 The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and also afterward—when the sons of God went to the daughters of humans and had children by them. They were the heroes of old, men of renown.

Numbers 13:33 We saw the Nephilim there (the descendants of Anak come from the Nephilim). We seemed like grasshoppers in our own eyes, and we looked the same to them.

Deuteronomy Chapter 2
9 And the LORD said unto me, Distress not the Moabites, neither contend with them in battle: for I will not give thee of their land for a possession; because I have given Ar unto the children of Lot for a possession. {Distress … : or, Use no hostility against Moab }
10 The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims;
11 Which also were accounted giants, as the Anakims; but the Moabites call them Emims.
12 The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD gave unto them.
{succeeded: Heb. inherited } {stead: or, room }
13 Now rise up, said I, and get you over the brook Zered. And we went over the brook Zered. {brook: or, valley }
14 And the space in which we came from Kadeshbarnea, until we were come over the brook Zered, was thirty and eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were wasted out from among the host, as the LORD sware unto them. {brook: or, valley }
15 For indeed the hand of the LORD was against them, to destroy them from among the host, until they were consumed.
16 So it came to pass, when all the men of war were consumed and dead from among the people,
17 That the LORD spake unto me, saying,
18 Thou art to pass over through Ar, the coast of Moab, this day:
19 And when thou comest nigh over against the children of Ammon, distress them not, nor meddle with them: for I will not give thee of the land of the children of Ammon any possession; because I have given it unto the children of Lot for a possession.
20 (That also was accounted a land of giants: giants dwelt therein in old time; and the Ammonites call them Zamzummims; {Zamzummims: also called, Zuzims }
21 A people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakims; but the LORD destroyed them before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead:
22 As he did to the children of Esau, which dwelt in Seir, when he destroyed the Horims from before them; and they succeeded them, and dwelt in their stead even unto this day:
23 And the Avims which dwelt in Hazerim, even unto Azzah, the Caphtorims, which came forth out of Caphtor, destroyed them, and dwelt in their stead.)

I feel like the post-flood emergence of Giants was due to lingering genes in the wives of Noah's sons. We are confidence that Noah and the sons were free of genetic corruption. I suspect their wives were not. Some have traced the lineage back to Ham, and Japheth. I find no record of giants in the lineage of Shem.

I would say that the report was not false. I think that's a bad reading of the Hebrew.

Rather the nephelim simply weren't killed by the flood because the flood wasn't global. Though the Bible describes the flood as though it were global, the original authors lived 3000 years ago. They were not aware that the globe was even a sphere at that point in time. They simply described what they saw in their limited perception and through mytho-history.

That's a possibility. See Was Noah's flood global? and follow up there :)

God had to destroy the Nephilim in the flood because they were a threat to the genetic integrity of entire human race as it was known at that time.

Apparently, a few more angels got out of line after the flood.

But, this time it was localized and contained within a smaller segment of mankind.

Instead of using a flood as He did the first time.
This time God commanded the Israelites to utterly destroy them.
When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives
out before you many nations—the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites,
Hivites and Jebusites, seven nations larger and stronger than you— and when the Lord
your God has delivered them over to you and you have defeated them, then you must
destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy." Deut 7:1-2

The second wave of Nephilim were to be wiped out by God's chosen people.

grace and peace ...............

I believe the Nephilim (Giants) are the offspring of a second group of angels (sons of God) that rebelled against God and mated with the daughters of men (humans) (Genesis 6:4). It appears that the first offspring (Nephilim or Giants) were wiped out before the flood. They reappeared after the flood due to the fact that this second group of fallen angels had continued to reproduce with the daughters of men again.

Why do I believe it is a second group of angels who rebelled against God by mating with human females?

Jude 1:6
"And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day."

We see here that these particular angels had left their "first estate" (habitation or dwelling place), which would be Heaven. The timing of this lines up with the global flood.

2 Peter 2:4-5 says,
4 "For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
5 And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;"

So 2 Peter 2:4 (Which lines up with Jude 1:6) is telling us that these angels had sinned and now they are currently being reserved in chains of darkness until the final Judgment. Satan and his minions in the first rebellion are not currently reserved in chains of darkness. Also, 2 Peter 2:5 (Verse 5) sets the timing of this rebellion or sin by these angels and it was during the time of Noah and the global flood. Yet, Satan was already ready to deceive Eve back in the Garden, which means he is part of another group of fallen angels.

Goliath was a Nephilim.
These Nephilim were "angel and human hybrids."
They sometimes had six fingers on each hand and six toes on each foot (See: 2 Samuel 21:20).

1 - "sons of God" meant a different sect or religion
2 - Nephilim or Nibelungs were a completely normal sort of people living in or coming from mist-shrouded countries. They happened to be tall (as were some others). They happened to be famous in some legends. This was not sensational before Wagner got hold of it.
3 - The root Anak means ancestor or descendant in various languages. It appears in the town name Uruk (a variation on Unug), and also the personal name Enoch.
4 - In a sparsely populated earth some traits would strongly appear in specific populations. Since the three biggest floods in particular, there has been more admixture.

False. The flood was worldwide.

Noah and his family had all the Gene's that then became all nations and families which dispersed after Babel, whatever colour and every feature and every height.
