I am sticking to the topic. WHY did Hillary Clinton say that?
This is her discussion about it:

She is lamenting the fact that there is a reasonable group of Republicans who will work with Democrats even through difficult issues, like they have for decades, but now there is a extreme group of MAGA supporters who refuse to work with the Dems even for important things, like keeping the government open, and they intimidate the more reasonable group of Republicans ("the tail that wags the dog). Hillary goes on to say that they, the extreme group, need to be defeated. That brings up the statement starting about 1:45.
There is no discussion of how that would be done. No discussion of camps. She does not expand on the statement at all.

It seems that some are taking her statement and concocting conspiracy stuff - like the FEMA death conspiracy story back in 2010 in response to Obamacare (more Republican faux outrage). .Hillary is not talking about it as if it should be regular practice at all or defines what she means by deprogramming and how that could be done.

Should we look at just addressing our opponents by deprograming? No, It is not called for. Nor can it be done. All we can do is keep putting the truth out there and hope that it sinks in.
