This is the correct response from Americans and rational people.
"No, Hillary, we do not send people in the opposite political party into reprogramming/deprogramming."
I am stunned that intelligent people do not see this and even defend and support the suggestion. Especially Christians.

How do you “deprogrammed” 75,000,000 voters?
As I don't believe there are all 75,000,000 feel the exact same way about Trump, that many hold their nose when voting for him, that is not really the questions.
It took years of couseling and intervention to deal with the Moonies, and those in the Hari Krishna cult of the 60s.

But I haven't agreed to MAGA supporters a cult.

Well good, most rational people don’t.

No, the correct response is to ask why she believes that and take an honest look around and at Trump.

Why are Christians following a man who is a repeated adulterer, has multiple instances of fraud, is liable for sexual assault and lies?
Any other person who ran for president, or other offices, would have been forced to withdraw for just one of these things.

They are no more a cult than BIdenites, Obamaites, or Clintonites. That is just Hillary's jab at people who will not drink the leftist Kool-Aid. We can call anything a "cult." Everything from football fans to, well, Christians. It is food for the haters to justify their actions. I look at the people who have actually done things... like kill 65 million unborn children, groom children to the LGBTQ lifestyle, mutilate children, suppress freedom of speech, ban books and videos, and vote for tens of millions of illegal immigrants, but then get mad when they come to your town. The list goes on. If you are looking for cultic/destructive brainwashed people, you do not have to make up imaginary bugaboos. Just read the Democrat platform and read the papers.

So, deprogramming/reprogramming camps or not?

When you say things like this, that's when people bring up the need for deprogramming. None of these imaginary scenarios that were invented for you to be mad at are real

I know of no deprogramming or reprogramming camps. I have not suggested they be created. I have also said I do not agree with calling MAGA a cult, though I think there are some extremists in the the group.

The words re-education camp were never uttered in the interview. Another invented hyperbole for them to be mad at and a phrase to be fetishized for years to come alongside "You didn't build that" and "Mostly peaceful protests"

Well, that is the OP, and Hillary did suggest it, and people here are either supporting the idea or refusing to denounce it.
We do not deprogram/reprogram people of the opposite political party in America.
That is the response we are looking for.

First, hardly anyone is paying Hilary any attention these days other than right wing media outlets wanting to rile up their readers. Second, Hilary is referring to the GOP fringe in the House that still defer to Trump and are obstructing any reasonable negotiations between parties. As to voters supporting Trump, only those who have entered the extreme fringe MAGA world, who have enveloped themselves media bubble that feeds them only what they want to believe, who openly state they would support Trump no matter what real or hypothetical crime he might be involved or convicted of. These are the cult members she is talking about.

It is ridiculous to get riled up over Hilary’s opinion on a small segment of voters and GOP Congress members. I agree with her that these people would benefit from having their eyes opened to the truth about Trump. I would say to Hilary- you might want to rephrase things because words like deprogramming just feed into fringe’s already far-out beliefs and drive them further from reality.

Sooth and reassure our riled-up souls. :)

It is hard to take what you write seriously as your comments are disorganized and bizarre.

There is no "leftist Kool-aid". Is there a far-rightTea that some drink?
The ones banning books are on the right, not left.
There is no efforts to have illegal immigrants vote in elections - that is a right wing lie.
People in Martha's Garden got upset with the immigrants being dumped off there comes for the lack of humanity and decency on the part of the Republicans who misled the immigrants and just dropped them off where no services were set up for, using them as pawns.

And talk about make up imaginary bugaboos......the right-wing media is wonderful at creating scenarios for faux outrage. The latest was this one:

Ramaswamy's car rammed by protesters in Iowa

https://news.yahoo.com/ramaswamys-car-rammed-protesters-iowa-220235308.html
Except that didn't happen. Iowa police reject Vivek Ramaswamy’s claims of attack by protesters

So, again, I ask. Reprogramming/deprogramming for those who do not vote the way you want, or not?
Simple question. Do you support Hillary's idea or not?

Add to that the legal issues and court cases he is facing and yet…. He is polling neck and neck with Joe Biden who is daily lauded as an amazing President.

Is it feasible that perhaps Biden’s followers might be in need of reprogramming also. They don’t seem to be able to recognize his incredibly obvious weaknessesy,
Actually your first two sentences actually support what Hillary said.

I would vote for anyone over Trump. I think he lacks ethics, certainly lacks Christian ethics, lacks integrity, is narcissistic, lacks compassion for others, chooses staff unwisely, likes dictators , and does not have the respect or understanding of democracy. He is unfit for the office, imo.

Biden does have integrity and ethics and compassion and an understanding of democracy.

They're talking points designed to keep you angry so that you are blinded to the fact that the party you vote for can rule over you instead of represent you. Realizing that's what's happening is what deprogramming means

Where are the deprogramming camps?
