He was screaming at me about himself saying how he's this and that..it was scary.

It scares me because my Very worst fear like top 1 is being mentally ill and losing cont4ok like that and not being myself....like him. But I know ill never be like him, ever! For one I've never yelled a day in my life and I rarely express my anger. However this incident triggered me to the point of being slightly suidicalf,,,but its getting better.,,I'm still shaken but I'm doing an inch better.

I do have advice on this.

As some may know, I was involved in some pretty nasty things.
And as such, I have a certain PTSD to things.
I never killed anyone, I have more sense than to do that.
But I did hurt people, and as a result I've heard blood curdling screams, and seen horrific imagery.

In any case that this happens, I find it's very helpful, at anytime you start having a flashback, go listen to something that makes you happy, or watch something silly.
Even if it doesn't entertain, I think the science behind it is, you associate the horror with something silly, and it neutralizes itself.

I dunno, it helps me.

First step, definitely, is trying to calm down, and collect yourself.
It's extremely off putting to see someone you trust, and that's usually a calm feller, go ape.
I know, it's unpredictable.

You're still in the initial jolt of it though, if you can, go to sleep. Refresh your mind.

Right he went completely ape... Usually there's a transition peoples anger build up...you can hear it in their voice ...but with him...he went from calm to full blown yelling...and that scared and confused me...because its impossible to do.. There has to be a build up..it was as if he went bipolar....and went off. Like night and day. Complete craziness.

Also your parents need to know what is going on in your life. Especially online. Tell them immediately.

*hugs again* If you ever need to talk, we're here. I can understand a fear of losing control or being mentally ill, but you don't seem like that kind of person at all. I'm not a psychologist but your friend almost sounds like he has some form of bipolar disorder. The fact that you've never yelled and you know you'll never be like him is a pretty good indicator that you don't have to fear losing control or anything like that.

I called my friend and we were talking for a long time and everything was okay but then ....he started going on a rant about about himself....

And out of nowhere he snapped and started screaming...like he didn't even sound like himself it was so scary...

I had someone online do that to me as well. He just started screaming at me, but through KIK messaging. He suffered severe depression. I have blocked him because I can't help him. He is crazy and will most likely commit suicide one day. All I can do is pray for people like that, but they are too dangerous to have in my life. He may have mental issues and it probably doesn't even have anything to do with you at all. Block this person and move on.

Sorry to year, you're probably not used to it. But it can be normal in this world. Where I live it's a rough neighborhood, people yell often. And in the office, in the work place, I've seen a lot of yelling.

I know it can be be very disturbing and unsettling but be strong in the Lord because it can be pretty normal in this world. Yea we live in a broken world. You just need to find something to calm you down. Maybe get a pet like a dog, take very good care of it. It helps a big deal.

I just remembered... When he was going to a therapist...they diagnosed him with BPD... And after reading the symptoms....it all makes sense.

He has impaired social relationships, feelings of worthlessness,anger, impulsivity, suicidal thoughts ( said he had those thoughts since he was 10) has guilt, distorted self image, . He has almost all of them...its scary :/

I've been where you are, I understand. First you need support and I recommend calling the helpline 1-800-515-1133
Attacking and Depression
Midwest center for Stress and Anxiety.
I went through the program twice after 10 years of unsuccessfull therapy.
Once you've mastered thought control begin to establish a SOLID relationship with God as your Sovereign LORD.
Get out of internet relationships. A stranger once came to me with a message from God that I shut down the dating and friend game on the internet.
If you are a Christian God must be first in all things and your life is to witness for him in serving others.

Yes. Don't keep him as a friend. Don't socialise with him any more. He needs professional help you can't give, assuming his condition is treatable. Does he live in the same country ? If not, all the more reason to put him out of your mind right now.

Remember, everything happens for a purpose. God has allowed that suffering on your part, and our sufferings of all kinds, accepted in a spirit of holy, trusting resignation, are more effective in enriching our interior life of devotion to God than the most wonderful regime of prayer and self-mortification in serene surroundings. It was through suffering, wasn't it, that Jesus learnt obedience ? You are also learning a degree of worldly prudence, which is no bad thing, as long we don't become pusillanimous all round.

2) Does he see a therapist regularly?
3) Is he on medication and does he take it on time and on schedule?

There is more wrong with me than I care to say on the forums. Insanity isn't inevitable though. If you fear going insane you'll only make it worse. Dismiss sanity, tell yourself, "That is not me, that will not be me, I will not let that control me."

What is pusillanimous? Yeah I thank God I wasn't there with him..,thank god for that... Idk why that happened...that was so scary .....maybe to help me not be so naive about the world. Not everyone is good...even people you know a long time....he just snapped. He has all the BPD symptoms...so scary. He needs help... He didn't want to get help....so its not my problem...

I'm afraid whenever my phone rings, its so scary ...I'm still scared.

Extreme anxiety either keeps me up or passes a point where I knock myself out.
