Does anyone here collect any? Do they help you? Or do they even work? I have a few at home. I can say. When I get very stressed, I hold a amethyst for about 15 minutes. Within 15 min, I noticed I'm a little more relaxed. It does help but idk about the other crystals I have. (quartz, emerald, & sodalite)

We teamed up with Faith Counseling. Can they help you today?

The Church teaches this is superstition, dear soul, and therefore a sin against faith.

Oh boy. So does this mean I have to get rid of them now?

    The crystals themselves are objects.

Your USE of them is superstition.

    Ask your confessor.

I don't really collect rocks aside from the ones my daughter's pull from the riverbanks (they're not even pretty rocks, I don't get it lol)

Was there any scientific studies that you researched before obtaining the rocks, or how did you hear about them?

Perhaps the act of holding the stone, and your expectation has some effect on you. Anything that involves attention can be a form of mindfulness, after all, which can be useful to reduce anxiety.

I collect gems and minerals yes, but I don't have any beliefs about them. To me, they are just dead rocks, nothing more.

I was never a superstitious person anyway. I have always believed that people who buy into crazy beliefs are showing a lack of intelligence and critical thinking skills. A lot of crazy beliefs in the world today defy logic, it's crazy.

There's nothing wrong with collecting rocks but believing that there's any "healing" power to them is where it's wrong. Check out New Age beliefs and how they are actually fake and not beneficial in any way.

I live near a new age shop. I have visited a few times now to look at the stones. I don't believe in them however. I like the colors. They would make a good decoration.

You can find rocks on the beach as well.

There are going to be lots of precious stones in Heaven. There will be great abundance there. The Crystal Sea has crystal on the bottom. It is the water that flows from the Throne of God where Healing is in the water. Even now we are to be: "washing with water through the word" (Eph5:26)

The use of 'sacred stones' for mystical purposes was common among the pagan peoples of the Bible Lands. Called amulets, these magical charms were made in the form of small pendants attached to a necklace or bracelet. They were worn to protect a person from negative energies, evil and injury, and also to bring good luck. God uttered a stern warning to the false prophetesses of Israel, who in their apostasy had adopted the pagan practice of wearing amulets. It's in the Bible,

Ezekiel 13:18, 20 & 21 NIV. "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: 'Woe to the women who sew magic charms on all their wrists and make veils of various lengths for their heads in order to ensnare people. Will you ensnare the lives of my people but preserve your own? I am against your magic charms with which you ensnare people like birds, and I will tear them from your arms; I will set free the people that you ensnare like birds. I will tear off your veils and save my people from your hands, and they will no longer fall prey to your power.' "

If it was me ld get rid of them as like the guy before said your getting involved in new age and new age takes you away from Jesus and into the demonic.

2 Chronicles 33:6 - And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.

Well know preacher explaining that using crystals is witchcraft

Also, salt rock lamps are considered healing crystals, too. I had a bunch at one time and God told me to get rid of them. Well, I'd kept a couple back, decided to "test" it again one day just for a few hours a few weeks ago. That night, I had to rebuke this stupid demon that kept jumping on my bed at least 4 times! I kid you not! At 4 am I threw the things outside. Finally got some sleep. lol But yes, research everything. Multiple times if you must!

Wow how ignorant am I to think like that. Thank you everyone for telling me the truth about them. I don't wish to get rid of them in my house bc they are still beautiful to look at. I hope that's ok

With God the precious stones are an object lesson. They are beautiful, we may desire them. But they can not return our love. God is looking for a people who will accept and receive His love for them.

The main thing about stones is how they handle the light. Winter here is often overcast and there is not as much light as there is in the summer. One year after Christmas I would have some parties were I bought crystal beads so that people could string them together to make brackets. This was very popular and people would talk with each other and enjoy themselves until midnight or 1 in the morning sometimes. My wife would work late making bright colored bracelets that she would give away to people to brighten up their lives.

We can not afford to continue to do that because people would take advantage of us. But it was still a lot of fun at the time.

It depends if the items have demonic attachment as then its a accursed item and should be discarded of. This is why people who are into witchcraft when they get saved they get rid off all their items connected to Satan

Acts 19:19 King James Version (KJV)

19 Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.

Part of the way Satan seduces is through beauty

    Genesis 3:6

    King James Version

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was PLEASANT TO THE EYES , and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
