Thanks for the article, Dark. I read it, and I'm afraid it left me just as confused as before. The person who wrote it doesn't seem to lay out their argument very convincingly or clearly. He even goes so far as to say that when his wife covered her head, he stopped having nightmares, because when the angels see a woman's head covered, they know she's a Christian and they will protect her. That, to me, is borderline ridiculous, because plenty of NON Christians cover their heads all the time.
Another point to be noted is that the passage in Corinthians says a woman should cover her head to PRAY or PROPHESY. Not that it should be covered 24/7. It seems to hint that leaving her long, luscious locks uncovered will bring "glory" to her instead of all the glory going to God. This seems nonsensical to me...a lot of women have nappy, ugly hair...some of them don't have any hair...some guys have better hair than the ladies - wouldn't they be taking "glory" away from God if they had awesome hair, too?
And to see all these colorful, fancy hats and head coverings...those things are prettier than just plain old hair, IMO. Isn't that stealing the glory even further?
This whole thing is just weird and confusing to me. And it seems like, if it were SUCH a big deal, it would be mentioned in more places in God's Word, or Christian women would be feeling conviction or direction to cover up, or something.
