Hamas attack puts new attention on terrorism at U.S. border

Hamas’ sneak attack into Israel across a heavily fortified border has focused new attention on America’s own borders, where Republicans say the next 9/11-style attackers may be planning to enter — or already have.

Lawmakers demanded President Biden acknowledge the risks to the U.S. and respond with more border walls, troop deployments and an end to the catch-and-release free-for-all that has allowed millions of unauthorized migrants to disperse to communities across the country.

“We have to take the example of what just happened here and say to our own intelligence, what do we have along our border? What cells have we allowed to come in here?” Rep. Kevin McCarthy, former speaker of the House, told radio host Hugh Hewitt on Monday.

No, it's an indication that the borders are tighter than ever under Biden.
Some should tell the boarder patrol , as of now "that would be news to them"

Hopefully they can restrain themselves from making a political football out of American national security such that "one side thinks it is winning" if it forces us into open boarder practices.

Some Democratic leaders are beginning to speak up concerning Biden's failure to secure our border.

IT seems like almost everyone has been pointing out the same flaw in his border strategy since day 1

More than 18,000 ‘gotaways’ have illegally entered US in the last 16 days, CBP chief warns

More than 18,000 people have evaded border patrol agents and slipped into the United States illegally since October 1, Border Patrol Chief Jason Owens announced Tuesday.

The shocking number of so-called “gotaways” — people known to have entered the country illegally without being caught — equates to about 1,125 people daily over the last 16 days.

“These are individuals whose identities & purpose we do not know,” Chief Owens wrote on X.

Texas cop is shot dead while chasing 2 suspects near southern border

Police in Texas said an officer was shot and killed Tuesday after joining an hourslong pursuit of two suspects near the U.S.-Mexico border.

The Brownsville Police Department said the slain officer was Lt. Milton Resendez, who worked at the nearby San Benito Police Department. Both cities are near Texas’ southeast border with Mexico.

Cameron County Prosecutor Luis Saenz said suspects Rogelio Martinez Jr., 18, of Brownsville and Rodrigo Axel Espinosa Valdez, 23, of Mexico are facing charges of murder, assault with a deadly weapon and evading arrest in connection with the incident.

Biden shatters records for worst border with 3.2 million illegal immigrants, 169 terrorism suspects

The Biden administration just tallied the worst year in border security history, according to Homeland Security’s final numbers for fiscal year 2023, which showed record numbers of illegal immigrants, terrorism suspects and fentanyl detected.

Customs and Border Protection delivered the numbers in a highly unusual Saturday morning news release.

Border Patrol agents detected 2.1 million illegal immigrants, which was down slightly from 2020, when it reported 2.2 million. But the real action was at official ports of entry — land border crossings and, increasingly, airports, where officers encountered 1.1 million unauthorized migrants.

Drop in the bucket compared to Texas.

Biden reports over 3 million illegal aliens on U.S. borders in single year

For the first time ever, U.S. border agents encountered over 3.2 million illegal aliens on America’s borders in a single fiscal year, a number that is greater than the combined population of Hawaii, Alaska, and Vermont.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection, or CPB, reported Saturday that agents encountered 3,201,144 illegal immigrants at or between ports of entry to the country between Oct. 1, 2022, and Sept. 30, 2023. That is the equivalent of 8,770 a day.

According to the data, Customs and Border Protection encountered 434,562 more illegal aliens in fiscal year 2023 than in fiscal year 2022. (The federal government’s fiscal year runs from October through September.

Activists seethe as Democrats pivot on border, work to stem flow of migrants to overrun cities

New York Mayor Eric Adams, greeting the first busload of migrants from Texas, declared in the summer of 2022 that the city was ready with a helping hand for “every asylum-seeker that comes to New York,” and his administration worked with immigration activists to get the newcomers settled.

Today, Mr. Adams says his city is full. He uses terms such as “destroy” for what the migrants are doing to New York. He has even traveled to Mexico and Central America to beg people to stop coming.

Similar scenes have played out in Chicago, where the city’s early promises of welcome have given way to nasty NIMBY neighborhood battles against migrant shelters.

95.8 Percent of Inadmissible Aliens Using CBP One App Released Into America: Homeland Security Committee

Republicans on the House Homeland Security Committee have found that 95.8 percent of aliens who sought appointments through the government’s mobile app for immigrants in recent months were released into the country on parole with a Notice to Appear (NTA).

That’s more than 266,000 otherwise inadmissible individuals out of more than 278,000 who scheduled appointments, according to documents the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) provided the committee covering the period Jan. 12 through Sept. 30 of 2023.

“These numbers are proof that [DHS Sec. Alejandro] Mayorkas’ operation is a smokescreen for the mass release of individuals into this country who would otherwise have zero claim to be admitted,” said committee chair Rep. Mark Green, M.D. (R-Tenn.) in a statement on the release of the Customs and Border Protection One (CBP One) app statistics.

Guatemalan Illegal Alien, Who Is Also a Convicted Sex Offender, Arrested in Massachusetts

An illegal immigrant who fled California, where he had been jailed as a sex offender, has been arrested in Massachusetts.

The Boston office of Enforcement and Removal Operations, a division of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, said the man was first arrested last week by police in Waltham, Massachusetts, after learning he was wanted by California authorities, according to an ICE news release.

The man, whose name was withheld, is a 35-year-old Guatemala native, the release said.

The Guatemalan man had been sentenced to three years in prison in California on charges of sex with a minor victim and sexual penetration with a foreign object on a minor. He served one year in prison and was released, only to disappear and fail to register as a sex offender.
