  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Who is accountable for today's drug trade?

1) Suppliers
2) Those who consume.

Supply would not exist without the demand.

My point is, it's American dollars that are fueling the Cartels.
I agree. Just seems a bit conservative

It absolutely is. Our drug demand is a serious problem. And the fact we have cities that allow drug users to do drugs in public and throw their dirty needles around is adding to the problem. Drug addiction is a scourge in many ways. It causes so many problems including poverty and homelessness.

And our justice system is primarily geared to go after the dealers and not the users. We should be doing both and forcing users to get clean. Paid for by the state. Thats only one of my ideas for it, but simply trying to take down the the suppliers isn't working.
