Texas has right to build razor wire border wall, appeals court rules

A federal appeals court ruled Wednesday that the Biden administration overstepped when it tried to dismantle Texas’ razor-wire border fence.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ordered Homeland Security to refrain from cutting through the wire in the area around Eagle Pass, a Texas border town that had been the scene of a major clash between the state and the Biden administration.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott hailed the ruling.

“We continue adding more razor wire border barrier,” the Republican said on social media.

Activists say Mexican authorities have broken up 2 migrant caravans heading to the US

Mexican immigration authorities have broken up two small migrant caravans headed to the U.S. border, activists said Saturday.

Some migrants were bused to cities in southern Mexico, and others were offered transit papers.

The action comes a week after U.S. President-elect Donald Trump threatened to slap 25% tariffs on Mexican products unless the country does more to stem the flow of migrants to the U.S. border.

On Wednesday, Trump wrote that Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum had agreed to stop unauthorized migration across the border into the United States. Sheinbaum wrote on her social media accounts the same day that “migrants and caravans are taken care of before they reach the border.”

Migrant rights activist Luis García Villagrán said the breaking-up of the two caravans appeared to be part of “an agreement between the president of Mexico and the president of the United States.”

The first of the caravans started out from the southern Mexico city of Tapachula, near the border with Guatemala, on Nov. 5, the day Trump was elected. At its height it had about 2,500 people. In almost four weeks of walking, it had gone about 270 miles (430 kilometers) to Tehuantepec in the state of Oaxaca.

That was easy.

Republicans in Congress grill Biden administration on rise of Tren De Aragua in their state

TdA gang members have been accused of committing brutal violence, murder, kidnapping, extortion, bribery and human and drug trafficking, and are linked to more than 100 law enforcement investigations nationwide, The Center Square reported.

After performing a traffic stop and contacting Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations, the officers learned the men they stopped included one known and one suspected TdA member.

Both were in the country illegally. One had been apprehended in September 2023 and was awaiting a federal immigration court hearing. The other has an order for removal and is subject to mandatory detention but wasn’t detained.

“Despite the threat these individuals pose to the citizens of Missouri, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel contacted local law enforcement personnel and advised that they release the individuals in question because Venezuela refused to accept them,” the lawmakers wrote. The administration “reportedly directed local law enforcement in Missouri to release a known member of [TdA] due to Venezuela’s refusal to cooperate on deportation cases.”

This is insane! Venezuela refuses to accept its own criminal citizens and we just let them go? They should be locked up until Venezuela accepts them or they die in prison. Alternatively we could just over the country and shove them out with a parachute.

I like what Abbot was doing. He would take them to the border and give them a choice to either cross back over voluntarily, or go to prison. If they go to prison; I think that they should be handed a hammer, to start busting rocks, to build a wall.

Trump’s border czar says any illegal immigrant can be deported: ‘We’ll eventually get to you’

Criminals will be the first targets for President Trump’s “mass” deportations, but Homeland Security will eventually get to rank-and-file illegal immigrants, according to incoming border czar Tom Homan.

“If you’re in the country illegally, you need to be looking over your shoulder because you’re not supposed to be here, and we’ll eventually get to you,” he said.

Donald Trump demands judge halt Biden’s alleged ‘fire sale’ of border wall materials

Trump’s lawyer John Sauer asked Judge Drew Tipton in the Southern District of Texas to investigate an explosive report showing that southern border wall slats are being secretly hauled away and auctioned off for as low as $5.

“If the current Administration is selling off border-wall materials at rock-bottom prices, imposing financial losses on the United States in an attempt to defeat the pro-wall policy of President Trump, it is unlawfully encroaching on the incoming Administration’s exercise of the Executive Power,” Sauer said.

“It’s very expensive, and now it’s about double the price of what it would have been six years ago, and the administration is trying to sell it for five cents on the dollar, knowing that we’re getting ready to put it up,” he told reporters during a 70-minute session at the Palm Beach, Fla., resort.

I heard that Mister (President-elect) Trump had his lawyers send an amicus brief to the court. I haven’t read this brief but “demands” is pulling a heavy load here.

7.6 million known illegal immigrants at large in U.S.; number doubled under Biden

Homeland Security is supposed to be tracking more than 7.6 million illegal immigrants who have been caught and released into the country over the years, according to the latest numbers that show a department struggling to monitor them all, much less make new arrests inside the country.
In late 2020, before President Biden took over, the figure stood at just 3.3 million, meaning that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement added 4.3 million new names to its at-large docket over the last four years.

ICE revealed the numbers Thursday in its final report on fiscal 2024.

More than doubled in just 4 years.

Tren de Aragua gang members arrested in NYC apartment next to daycare facility

Several suspected members of the bloodthirsty Venezuelan gang Tren De Aragua (TdA) were busted hiding out in a New York City apartment building located next to a daycare center, a law enforcement source tells Fox News, underlining how the gang has immersed itself among the general population in the sanctuary city.

The New York Post was first to report on the Bronx bust with the publication reporting that seven suspected members of TdA – which has been terrorizing cities across the nation following – were arrested inside the apartment building and were sought on multiple warrants after crossing the US border with Mexico.

The raid on the Bronx five-story apartment building, which is located next to the Doña Juana Day Care facility, took place on Dec. 5 and was carried out by Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) and the NYPD's federal task force, a law enforcement source tells Fox News. A separate raid took place in Brooklyn with 22 suspected members of the gang scooped up in both raids.

Shelters to be opened in Mexico to prepare for Trump deportations

The Mexican government will open 25 new shelters to house illegal immigrants deported from the United States in preparation for a border crackdown when President-elect Donald Trump takes office next month.

Baja California Gov. Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda said in a meeting Monday that the country is taking Mr. Trump’s threat of deportation seriously, according to Nexstar’s Border Report. Five of the shelters will be in the city of Tijuana, with two others in Mexicali, the capital city in Baja.

“What we do know, throughout his campaign, he threatened to do this, and since he was already president of the United States, we believe this time he will be stricter and tougher when it comes to deportations,” she said. “We are working to get ready and receive our migrants.”

Federal judge orders Biden administration to stop selling off border wall parts

The Biden administration has agreed to a court order preventing it from selling off rusting pieces of border wall material that the outgoing president has refused to install, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton revealed Friday.

“We have successfully blocked the Biden Administration from disposing of any further border wall materials before President Trump takes office,” Paxton said in a statement.

“This follows our major victory forcing Biden to build the wall, and we will hold his Administration accountable for illegally subverting our Nation’s border security until their very last day in power, especially where their actions are clearly motivated by a desire to thwart President-elect Trump’s immigration agenda,” he added.

Drug cartels have become Mexico’s 5th-largest employer

Some 175,000 people now actively work for Mexico’s smuggling cartels, according to a shocking new estimate that would make them the country’s fifth-largest private employer.

The cartels’ secret is their viciously efficient ability to recruit, said Rafael Prieto-Curiel, who led the researchers and who said the cartels are the country’s top recruiter at more than 350 new people each week.

That helps them counter their massive losses thanks to arrests, killings and dropouts.

Trump says attack in New Orleans proves he’s correct about criminals crossing U.S. border

President-elect Donald Trump on Wednesday said that the deadly truck attack in New Orleans validated his warning about criminals entering the U.S. across the border.

“When I said that the criminals coming in are far worse than the criminals we have in our country, that statement was constantly refuted by Democrats and the Fake News Media, but it turned out to be true,” Mr. Trump said on social media.

A senior law enforcement official preliminarily identified Shamsud Din Jabbar, 42, as the suspect who plowed a pickup truck into a crowd of New Orleans revelers early New Year’s Day. The law enforcement source said he was carrying an ISIS flag in the truck, and authorities have said he was dressed in military gear.

It's been confirmed that this had absolutely nothing to do with immigrants, illegal or otherwise. The only thing the Convicted-Felon-Elect proved was his penchant for jumping to conclusions that serve his political aims without verifying or correcting himself when he is totally and completely wrong.

...Mexico and other Latin American countries have paid a high price for America's drug addiction.

From the same study:

In 2022, cartel population was estimated to be between 160,000 and 185,000. Additionally, an estimated 285,000 people have acted as cartel members since 2012. Given these numbers, the authors calculate that cartels need to recruit between 350 and 370 members per week to avoid collapse. Cartels typically lose members due to incarceration or violent crime. Despite losing 200 members a day, on average, cartel membership is still growing, a consistent trend since 2012. The study estimates 120 weekly cartel-related deaths in 2022, which is a 77% increase from 2012.

....
One of the most significant findings in the study found that the current trends, with data starting in 2012, suggest that cartel violence and power will continue to increase in coming years. In 2027, according to predicted trends from the authors, Mexico could face an increase of 40% more casualties and 26% more cartel members.

Are you blaming the poor people who are addicted to drugs?
That seems to go against your nature.

Who is accountable for today's drug trade?

1) Suppliers
2) Those who consume.

Supply would not exist without the demand.

My point is, it's American dollars that are fueling the Cartels.
