God is the God for all people. Jesus is the Prince of Peace.
The overheated language about immigration is combative and the opposite of God's plan.
I know the right was concerned about demonstrations against Netanyahu's war crimes (as confir med by the international court.)
Will 47 be the next to be indicted by the Hague?
Already a felon in NY, is it possible his planned human rights violations will make him an international criminal as well?

You seem to be on a rant in the wrong thread.

I am sorry. I am responding to your post #222 and it is not a rant.
Your post was provocative, calling our beloved national monument and the challenging inspirational words of Emma Lazarus as a "pagan idol" and the huddled masses yearning to be free as invaders.

These defenseless migrants with nothing more than the clothes on their backs are unarmed, hungry, tired. I have had friends minister to them in McAllen.
I am more worried about the unlimited guns in American homes than these poor people.

An overwhelming number of cited sources within this thread testify to the contrary.

The objective reader will not ignore this evidence.

Objective readers look at the credibility of the citations.
NY Post. Washington Times. Washington Examiner. News Nation.
Biased, and having lived in NY, I experienced reading the scandal sheet NY Post firsthand.
The kind of paper I'd be embarrassed to be caught reading on the subway.

So now we get at the root of your presentation of the NPR article as proof of your bare assertion. You seem to be more interested in what people "think," than ascertaining the facts.

I've asked you repeatedly to provide a direct quote from Trump to support your spurious claim.

Maybe this quote from the make believe world of fiction presented as truth will speak to you:

"Just the facts ma'am" ~ Joe Friday

The specious claims are from the Trump campaign according to NY Times. Immigrants were blamed for everything because they were the scapegoats on whose tails Trump slithered to victory.
Can't win hate and fear campaigns without scapegoats. They are not invaders.

Why do you care about the immigrants so much? I can understand some limited compassion, but I feel like you should really join the Republicans and just be on our side. We really want you on our side! :)

Sanctuary states, cities should explain to DOGE why they deserve federal money: MTG

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., on Sunday said leaders of sanctuary states and cities should have to explain why they deserve federal dollars to a new congressional subcommittee bent on cutting government waste.

Greene, who was tapped to lead a subcommittee working with the Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy-led Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), laid out how she hopes to cut government spending

NYC shutters 2 more migrant shelters, including one that housed 400 families, due to ‘resettlement efforts’

Two more city migrant shelters have closed up shop as the flood of asylum-seekers into the Big Apple continues to plummet.

More than 400 families were being sheltered at the 19-story, 506-unit complex at 1760 Third Ave. at East 97th Street, once a massive dormitory for CUNY Hunter and Baruch College students and other education entities.

About 150 hotels are currently sheltering migrants, and total spending on migrant services in the Big Apple will hit $6.1 billion, according to city data.

Yep, and then they'll come to MTG looking for a handout.

Republicans in Congress grill Biden administration on rise of Tren De Aragua in their state

TdA gang members have been accused of committing brutal violence, murder, kidnapping, extortion, bribery and human and drug trafficking, and are linked to more than 100 law enforcement investigations nationwide, The Center Square reported.

After performing a traffic stop and contacting Department of Homeland Security’s Homeland Security Investigations, the officers learned the men they stopped included one known and one suspected TdA member.

Both were in the country illegally. One had been apprehended in September 2023 and was awaiting a federal immigration court hearing. The other has an order for removal and is subject to mandatory detention but wasn’t detained.

“Despite the threat these individuals pose to the citizens of Missouri, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) personnel contacted local law enforcement personnel and advised that they release the individuals in question because Venezuela refused to accept them,” the lawmakers wrote. The administration “reportedly directed local law enforcement in Missouri to release a known member of [TdA] due to Venezuela’s refusal to cooperate on deportation cases.”

Trump’s new border czar Tom Homan details priorities for ‘mass deportation operation’

Under the Biden administration, more than 660,000 criminal foreign nationals were recently identified to be deported by ICE, including 435,719 convicted criminals, The Center Square reported. ICE agents arrested more than 387,000 criminals in fiscal years 2021 through 2023, The Center Square reported. The majority were citizens of Mexico, Nicaragua, Columbia and Venezuela.

Tom Homan to sanctuary cities: ‘Don’t test us’

Incoming border czar Tom Homan delivered a new stern warning to sanctuary cities Tuesday and proclaimed Texas a model for how the rest of the country should approach border enforcement.

Mr. Homan also defended President-elect Donald Trump’s plans for a major deportation effort and pushed back against critics who say it will terrorize communities.

Mr. Homan said if there is no interior enforcement, the border can’t be solved because illegal immigrants will continue to stream in, knowing all they have to do is make it across the boundary.

“There is going to be a mass deportation because we just finished a mass immigration crisis on the border,” he said.

Mexico’s president agrees to stop migration into U.S. after tariff threats, Trump says

President-elect Donald Trump said Mexico has agreed to stop the flow of migrants north into the U.S.

In a post Wednesday evening on Truth Social, Mr. Trump said he had just spoken with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo and had “a wonderful conversation.”

“She has agreed to stop Migration through Mexico, and into the United States, effectively closing our Southern Border. We also talked about what can be done to stop the massive drug inflow into the United States, and also, U.S. consumption of these drugs. It was a very productive conversation!” he wrote.

That was easy. He hasn't even taken office yet.

Judge upholds a Missouri law requiring voters to show photo ID to cast a regular ballot

COLUMBIA, Mo. — A law requiring Missouri voters to show government-issued photo identification to cast regular ballots will stand after a lower-court judge found it constitutional Tuesday.

Cole County Circuit Judge Jon Beetem’s decision upholds the law, which was made possible by a 2016 voter-approved constitutional amendment allowing lawmakers to enact photo ID requirements.

“To maintain a secure system for voting, it only stands to reason that a photo ID should be essential,” Missouri Republican Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft said in a statement praising the ruling.
