Colossians 1:
5
Because of the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, of which you heard
before in the Word of Truth from the gospel,
6 which has come to you, as also in all the world, and is bringing forth fruit, as
also among you since the day you heard and knew the Grace of God in Truth.

Both are received from the "Light of Life".

John 1:
4
In Him was life, and that life is the Light of men.
9 That was the true Light Who gives light to every man coming into the world.
12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become
children of God, to those who believe in His name.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory,
the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing unless
it has been given to him from heaven.

Those who do not receive Christ abide in darkness.
Isaiah 26:10. Let grace be shown to the wicked, he will not learn righteousness;
In the land of uprightness he will deal unjustly, and will not behold the
majesty of the Lord.

Can we properly serve the Lord by Grace alone?
John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in
Spirit and Truth.

The doctrine of grace is used by many to suggest that grace gives freedom
to "do our best."
While grace is understood as a free gift, only Truth gives freedom.

John 8:32.

Truth is not something that we believe. He is a Spirit by which we do.
John 3:21. But he who does the Truth comes to the Light, that his
deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.

The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth, and He is our Lord.
2 Corinthians 3:17 Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of
the Lord is, there is freedom.

Who should we trust?
We build trust by way of committed faithfulness to the fellowship in the Holy Spirit.

Ephesians 4:
1
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling
with which you were called,
2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
