I think I'll just take his point with a grain of sand and let it go at that.
Don't have the courage to examine your own book? Didn't think so.

You sure seem to be stuck on money. My only problem is how to invest the money I have.If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content.
Watch the second video above and pay attention at the 3rd minute and onwards! Americans have turned the Christian faith into a commercial product! I once watched TBN and was aghast at what they were saying! It was all about getting rich. You sure seem to be stuck on money.

mat 25 26His lord answered and said to him, You wicked and slothful servant, you knew that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strewed: 27You ought therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with usury. 28Take therefore the talent from him, and give it to him which has ten talents.
29For to every one that has shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that has not shall be taken away even that which he has. 30And cast you the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Frankly, I'm tired of hearing how bad a person Hovind is.
When David saw Bathsheba and wanted her, what did he do? he raped her.
Then, when she got pregnant, David tried to cover that by having her husband come home from the service, hoping that he would perform a marital privilege, only, to his horror, find out that Uriah refused.
2 Samuel 11:11 And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in tents; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open fields; shall I then go into mine house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
What did he do next, when Uriah went back to the army?
He had her husband Uriah placed at the front of the battle, with orders to withdraw and leave him there.
Of course he died in battle, leaving David to marry Bathsheba.
And do you know how he did this? He sent Uriah back to battle with a note in his hand to give to the commander -- a note that was his own death warrant.
2 Samuel 11:14 And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.
2 Samuel 11:15 And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
Yet, after all that, when David came to his senses and realized what he had done, what did he write to God?
Psalm 51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
I could never understand this passage, until it was pointed out to me that David was never again the man he used to be; and when he died, he died one of the most agonizing deaths in the Bible (Psalm 38).
Mister Hovind didn't do nearly what David did, but, just like David, he is forgiven (assuming he repented).
I agree, hovind probably got behind on his taxes and couldn't catch up. Whats so bad about that?
I agree, hovind probably got behind on his taxes and couldn't catch up. Many have done this. He is not alone. hopefully he repented.
The fact that he perjured himself repeatedly, defied court orders, was subsequently delinquent again, tried to sue the government, filed false criminal complaints repeatedly, and conspired with his son to hide away property titles and deeds to evade a legal IRS lien.
The man is a mentally unstable criminal.
I have a feeling you guys think he was mentally unstable before he was convicted of anything. The man is a mentally unstable criminal.
Why?Instead of guessing at what he did, why don't you try and find out?
Like Madalyn O'hair?I wonder what our creationist friends would say he were an avowed atheist and committed the same crimes?
I have a feeling you guys think he was mentally unstable before he was convicted of anything.
Well, for the record, I think they thought he was mentally unstable before he was convicted of anything.Actually, con artists are usually very much in control of their faculties -- they need to be in order to properly exploit others.
John 8:7 So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. He's not a victim, Grady. He's a criminal. A fraud.

The thing about taxes is you have to keep records. If you do not have the records & receipts then you have to pay more. We keep everything. Then if the goverment wants it we have it. The accountants are afraid of the government, they do not want to go to jail. So they are very picky about what sort of papers they will fill out for you. You really have to jump though the hoops to give them the information exactly the way they want it. Everything has to be documented, you can not just give them numbers. You have to have something to back it up. Usually the accountant finds ways to save you money so that they don't really cost you anything at all. They make you money.I agree, hovind probably got behind on his taxes and couldn't catch up. Many have done this. He is not alone. hopefully he repented.
