I think that much of this is due to actions that states took in the past four years. There have been numerous increases in the minimum wage, for example. And the ACA didn't take effect until 2012, even though it was passed in 2009.
We transitioned from working to retirement in the past ten years (my husband in 2013, me in 2018) and our income isn't what it was, but we are doing fine. I look at income as only one factor of my emotional well being. I want to leave a good world for future generations. I want a country ruled by justice, truth, and compassion. I feel bad when people around me are suffering--even if I'm not.
Those of you who thought the national debt was unacceptably high under Obama have seen it much, much higher under Trump. You can't lower taxes if you aren't taking in enough revenue to start with.

I don't live in a swing state. Trump will win this state handily, whether I vote for Joe Biden, the Green Party, or write in any random name of a person who is more honest than Trump. Bernie Madoff, perhaps.

I could see voting for a minor party candidate, but never would I ever vote for a minor party candidate if I were in a swing state.

Florida's Ralph Nader voters (and a conservative Supreme Court) cost Al Gore the election.
We might have avoided 9/11 (Bush didn't heed warnings), the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. We certainly would have avoided numerous deadly hurricanes, forest fires, and fracking-induced earthquakes.

(1) his economic plan of: a corporate tax cut designed to stop businesses from leaving the USA and taking jobs with them; coupled with cutting bureaucratic regulations that made it hard to start, run, or expand a business, resulted in the strongest economy in the world and the lowest unemployment rate in fifty years, with a median income increase of 5,000 dollars in just three years


(2) he rebuilt the military that was weak and depleted


(3) appointed 2 SCOTUS judges who will support the second amendment, plus 300 federal district judges


(4) set up dozens of “opportunity zones” in cities with poor neighborhoods to bring in businesses and jobs for black folks


(5) ended the war on coal and opened up oil and natural gas production, to where we are the number one worldwide energy producer


(6) renegotiated NAFTA and replaced it with the USMCA agreement, plus cancelled the TPP trade agreement


(7) got NATO allies to start paying their fair share of defense costs


(8) took on China and their one-sided tariffs by imposing reciprocal tariffs on their goods, with the end goal of no tariffs by either country - and now has a new trade agreement with them


(9) gave pastors back their free speech rights in the pulpit, to speak about anything they choose, even politics (executive order)


(10) the wall is being built


(11) he did away with restrictive rules of engagement that prevented the destruction of ISIS and destroyed their caliphate


(12) reformed the Veterans Administration so bad employees can be fired, and veterans can get healthcare from private doctors and hospitals, if the VA waiting time for an appointment is excessive.

(14) Supported and signed the First Step act, that is letting minorities out of prison who were given excessively long sentences.


I like having a president who’s NOT a slick, politician that tells you what he thinks you want to hear, but plainly speaks his mind, who has that NY attitude of not taking crap, who fights back, who does what he thinks is right.


Compare that to lying corrupt politicians who flip flop their positions 180 degrees, when they think that’s what the public wants.


Like Hillary, who flipped to being against everything Bill Clinton did in office, from being pro border security and anti illegal immigration, and tough on crime, and much more - just like Biden’s doing now.

You forget that congress refused to fund the wall at all, Trump had to find alternative funding, which isn’t easy. When he’s reelected, no thanks to clueless folks who slurp the fake news kool aid, and he gets the house back and retains the senate, the wall can be quickly built

Trump can’t ignore the Supreme Court ruling that legalized abortion on demand, and even if Republicans had the house as well as the senate, and passed a law stopping abortion, the Supreme Court would just strike it down, just like they keep striking down state laws restricting abortions.
All Trump can do is what he promised, and has done, which is appoint Supreme Court justices who will follow the constitution, so that roe v wade can be overturned one day.

In a short time, when Joe Biden is President, he will (hopefully) "pack the court" by increasing the number of judges beyond 9, then nominating liberals to undo the damage created by Trump and McConnell. Prohibiting Garland's nomination from being voted on was beyond criminal, but appointing two conservatives to tilt the court far to the right should be grounds for imprisonment.
