Great verses but could you explain how those verses relate to full preterism?

I don't digest words like "advent" and "parousia", i just think of it as the 2nd coming of Christ.

His 1st coming was as a baby in a manger.

@brinny it actually means a LOT to understand the term "parousia" because if a person just clings to the phrase "second coming of Christ" - IMO, speaking from experience- a LOT of richness of the Bible is completely missed.

Basically, the way I'm understanding it (because this is fairly new to me) is that the ancient Jews understood God's presence to go with them (in the days of them traveling in the wilderness) or be near them (later on, in the established temples) in a limited space....an actual contained area.

However, the Most High doesn't live in temples made by human hands. As the prophet says, "Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Could you build me a temple as good as that?' asks the LORD. 'Could you build me such a resting place?" ~ Acts 7:28-49​

Are there any full preterists on CF?

@LittleLambofJesus I think I can now raise my hand and say that I am now a full preterist - that I believe that Jesus did ALL He said He was going to do in the prophecies. OTOH.....I believe that God is still continuing to do His work of reconciling ALL things unto Him. If I'm not mistaken....these two are not mutually exclusive from one another.

The word "parousia" appears to have a few meanings and nuances that can be seen when one looks at the greek of that word.

Strong's Number G3952 matches the Greek παρουσία (parousia), which occurs 24 times in 24 verses

First thing to notice is that Matt 24 is the only chapter out of the 4 Gospels to use the word "parousia".

And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.” Two aspects are important: the cloud, which was God’s Spirit or presence, and the fact that it settled (or dwelled) there. The Hebrew word for “settled” is shakan, from which we get the phrase shekinah glory. It simply refers to God’s abiding presence. I'm with you on that. That's why I love using electronic devices (phone or Kindle) to read - I can make the print larger. I don't read a paper Bible any longer. I have been labeled a preterist by cf because I say the second coming was in 312 AD when the sign of the Son of Man appeared in the clouds, and Jesus came into power through St. Constantine who rode a white horse and conquered with a bow. And he sent his messengers with a trumpet and gathered the elect of all the Church together, to Nicea.

No full preterist I know of has ever viewed the 2nd coming that way.
Maybe it is a little unorthodox, but not heretical as far as I know.
Are you a Christadelphian by any chance?
