Foru.ms - a new beginning and a fresh start

I didn't know how much I DID like CF (problems and all) until it turned secular.
My worry is more for Erwin's spiritual.................

I wouldn't exactly call this place secular. It still has its Christian themes going on and stuff. I wouldn't worry about Erwin's spirtuality at all I'm sure he is right with God. He is only making changes for the greater good.

No offense but it isn't the mods or admins who brought this on, it was Erwin. From what I've seen he more or less lied to everyone already so it's rather hard to trust anything good coming out of this place now.

I understand how you feel. Believe me I do. I am just now getting feeling back in my brain after today's announcement.

However, please remember that Erwin DOES NOT OWN THIS SITE!

Nope, he didn't sell it. The thing is God owns it all. This site belongs to God not Erwin, and not even Erwin can remove God from this place no matter what.

Have faith. Be patient. It really is going to be okay. I wouldn't say that if I didn't mean it.

Well, I disagree... it's GOD who makes changes for the greater good (to those who Love Him)...

He's actually removed the Preamble for members to agree with that at least gave a decent attempt at defining & clarifying Christianity; take that away and you have chaos -
Christianity gets hijacked by anyone who wants to call themselves "Christian" - and define it any old way they want.
THEN, come sit in your faith sections arguing that Jesus isn't God and Jesus was a sinner, He didn't die for sin, you don't need to repent anymore, etc etc. etc.

Rules-wise, there's nothing you can report and that's the way it will continue. So if that's what you call a 'decision for the greater good', I don't see as he made one.. not to mention how many Christians who have already been crushed & hurt - left....

Agreed. The problem isn't the NAME tho (for me), it's the new forum: removal of the Preamble, changing "Christian" to "Faith" (section), opening up the faith section to God's enemies who are free to sit in contention anytime they want & challenge all our posts (if i wanted that, I'D OF GONE TO THE NONCHRISTIAN SECTION TO DEBATE/DISCUSS THEOLOGY).

Christian protection is basically out the window -
Anyways, I'm happy to at least see so many that feel the same way and don't like this either.

Oh the name is incidental compared to what's going on underneath. Someone pointed out that foru.ms will mean it comes up any time someone puts "forum" in a search engine. More hits = more money. Plus apparently it has huge resale value. That clears that one up.

The worst thing is the way the parts where we really fellowship with Jesus have been shoved to the bottom of the forum, like they're an annoyance, or an afterthought; and the only indication that this is a "Christian" site is a tiny link at the very bottom saying "Be a Christian". No-one will see that.

Have only come across 6 people who support this, you know. 6. Compared to the *hundreds* who think it's atrocious. I wonder if someone ought to start a poll...

I find the name change insulting. Not because I'm all hung up on having "Christian" in the title...just because nearly every single member here, believer or non, came here BECAUSE it was a Christ-centered forum.

The new name is just so stupid and superficial. I was proud of CF because it stood for something real. But this is a joke. It's embarrassing.

I agree. I know it's supposed to be For You Forums but it reads like "for you mmmzzzz" or "for you multiple sclerosis." I hope something gets added into the name before the .ms

Hey, thank you for your prayers Greeny, I wrote you when I came back, but my mailbox was full and until I dealt with it, I couldn't send mail -- I had some pretty serious issues going on and just couldn't participate w/ my issues in any good conscience.

And it was just those prayers from God's people that lifted me out of a mess. SO THANK YOU THANK YOU!
If I didn't know the Lord, I"m afraid of how nasty life would be becuz it's just not always a bed of roses. (makes me wonder how anyone can go thru life w/out knowing the Lord personally ).

I agree with all your issues too - you have to figure, shoving the Christians who HAD a Christian forum, all the way down to the bottom is just an INSULT. He had to know it.
