I read it. And all it really did was state his new vision. He answered none of our harder questions - certainly none of those I listed earlier.

FWIW, I never thought of changing the name of the site until the suggestion in this thread and the results of this poll.

yeah right, and he was spending that money just to have another site name in his collection..lol

It makes no sense to change the site name and domain name as we are ranked number one on all search engines because of it, and it is what brings all the traffic.

so where IS the point? WHy make it more PLEASING to non-christians?

I apologize for venting, and for the hostility -- I really didn't get a good night's sleep last night, and I'm sure that's affecting my outlook right now...

thats why i left, this is actually the only thread i read, and i used to be here for hours every day.

i have been lied to so many times in my life, so even a little lie will get me mad, this kind of behavior from a webmaster, now i will never be able to trust him, Lord forgive me, but i am hurt enough

I have been doing a lot of thinking about this whole situation. Not to mention a whole lot of praying. I was intially hurt, angry, and even confused about the changes here at the foru.ms. I still want to call it CF. But it is not CF anymore, and there is a new vision. I don't know how this will work out. Erwin may find that it falls flat on it's face. But as I was praying, one thing kept tugging at my heart. Preach the gospel to all creatures. Over and over that kept running through my mind. And I thought maybe this isn't a such bad vision. I know many here would like to keep this as a strictly christian site. well just as sinners most likely will not walk into a church, they will not walk into a christian site. We have to go to them and meet them where they are. There is a "GO" in preach the gospel. We tend to want to run our little clicks here and be around like minded people, but we forget amongst all the debate to do what God has called us to do. He didn't say go debate with your brethren. Maybe we should give this new vision of Erwin's a chance. I know, and I agree the way Erwin has gone about it is wrong and it seems like there is broken promises everywhere. But if God can use a donkey to speak, He can use this new vision to fulfill His will. And His will is that all men might be saved.

Many people are leaving because the name has changed or thinking about leaving. Heck, I have even thought about it. But because of the argument of some I have made up my mind to stay and see this through. Because the only way we can make a difference is to stay and fight th4e good fight. NOT ERWINS FIGHT, NOT FOR ERWIN'S VISION!!!! BUT RATHER, FOR GOD'S.

GO!!! PREACH THE GOSPEL TO ALL CREATURES!!! That is what I am going to do. I am through with the arguing, moaning, and complaining, and I am going to follow the cloud in the new direction it is leading. We all know we live in the end times and there is a job to do. Maybe we should get to doing it so that great revival can come to pass.

It is up to us to lift Christ up...He is not in a name of some website....He has risen again and now sits at the right hand of God. That is the message WE need to bring to this site. WE have an oppertunity to glorify God and lift up the King of Kings. We should rejoice at that and not be like the Isrealites were when they wandered around a mountain. God tried to lead them in a new way and there was much complaining. Look what happened to them. I for one don't and won't take the chance of missing out on the promised land. Destination...Heaven!

I agree that the gospel should be ministered everywhere. But that has little bearing on whether the changes to CF should've been made and whether or not they should be reversed.

If you want to sit back and let Christ be pushed to the SECONDARY purpose of this site (apparently "Social Networking" is now the primary purpose) then you go right ahead. I, however, will stand up for God until they ban me.

But if we lift Christ up to those that will come He is not the secondary purpose. I am sorry but the old CF is gone. We have to make do with what we got. Are we glorifying God by complaining? You mean those of us who are standing up to defend the name of Christ and are lobbying for His name to be returned to the name and appearance of the site?

I see, so the old CF had too much arguing because it was called "Christian" but now that its not there will be no more arguements? Perhaps that will true - when the myspace generation filters out all the remaining believers and makes this place into just another forum.

I'm sorry, this is not an attack, but I can't make sense of your reasoning.

And people who say that "things happen as they happen and we have to make the best of it" give over too easily to defeat. I won't sit down while the name of the Lord is steamrolled by the myspace generation.
