How do you rid yourself of fornicators/unclean spirits of lust etc.

Is there a prayer of protection or cleansing you can pray. To keep chaste and pure?

Hmm I just dont want unclean spirits hanging round, if I keep hanign out with lukewarm christians it seems like they dont take a stand against fornication thinking its ok. Maybe cos they did in the past and even married someone they fornicated with. Cos a husband of one tried to come on to me.

It was subtle but I just dont want them around. Do I just tell them to get lost.

Matthew 18:15-17 and 1 Corinthians 5:11-13. Sin has no rightful place in the Kingdom of God. This is what we say when we pray "Your kingdom come, Your will be done on earth".

Isaiah 6:11-13 speaks of desolating the ones who will refuse to cling to truth (ie, Matthew 13:30), and then the tenth that remains continues to be purified by the fire of His breath (Malachi 3:3-4, Jeremiah 5:14, Isaiah 37:29).

2 Peter 2:2-3 states the destructiveness of false teachers (wolves in sheep's clothing). These ones should be brought to awareness of their sin, not given false security of salvation (Jeremiah 23:22), but with utmost grace and selflessness (being a perfect witness - denying our own judgement that tempts us to sin - Galatians 6:1). Use every opportunity to demonstrate the knowledge of truth to them in most perfect patience, so that they can come to understand why it is sinful. Then they must choose whether to repent or to defy God's holy path. Once they are made aware of their sin (not by simply being told, but by being brought to have understanding), then if they continue to sin wilfully, they are guilty and become subject to God's judgement (Hebrews 10:26-31).

I put 'in relationship' as my status cos i mean 'in relationship' with Jesus and 'in relationship' with God.

I.e Jesus is my big bro and God is my heavenly Father.

Looks like nobody here has ever had any problem with people they know fornicating before and can say what they did.

I just know so many professed christians did marry the one they fornicated with, but the husband didn't convert in the end or maybe at the last moment. Cos I would sound them out and go well how did you and your husband meet and it would be 'oh at a nightclub or party' or 'we slept together and then ended up marrying' (usually after a pregnancy)
and I'm like ok, virginity and waiting really counts for nothing even amongst christians these days.

I just find it all depressing. There was one professed christian guy was dating and he still jumped all over me just like any heathen would. :-(

What does that have to do with your assertion?

A man who was betrothed was 100% in a relationship and 100% not physically intimate.

You are asserting that saying you are in a relationship is fornication and this is utterly untrue.

Fornication requires sexual intercourse and one can be in a relationship and NOT be sexually active with anyone.

I still struggle sometimes, but a lot less than I use to, as I am trying to stay chaste and pure sexually as well... Short and simple...? Just "don't think about it at all" cast those thoughts down and away...

Helps not to be idle a lot, find hobbies for your spare time, keep busy, do other things (like hobbies or activities) that you enjoy in your spare time... Don't let or be around outside influences that would spurn sexual thoughts, like people who like to talk about it, or especially your media that you watch or are exposed to... Eliminate it from your world...

Think back to when you were a child and didn't have any sexual thoughts, if that helps, and try to remember and go back to that again, but as a child of God now...

It won't be easy, especially at the start... Cause most adults are addicted in the brain to thinking sexual thoughts, and you have to break that, and kill off those connections in the brain, which can only be done through complete abstinence from any and all sexual thoughts... And, you may even be bombarded with more sexual thoughts than normal at first, when you first try to kill off those connections in the brain, cause starving them to death, (which is what must be done), anyways starving certain kinds of thoughts to death like if you were to go on a diet and fast from bad foods, that taste good...

Anyhow, like that, you may have more and be more strongly tempted to have even more and stronger thoughts about say, eating a gallon of ice cream, anyways, that temptation will be strong and come on stronger at say, the first week or two of the diet, but only at the beginning, it does get easier, in time, if you stay committed to abstaining, and in time, you won't have those strong cravings for ice cream, hardly at all anymore... It is the same with sexual stuff/thoughts...

You have to starve it to death, and not let it/them in from the outside, into your world... You have to kill that neural connection in the brain...

Pray about it also, but pray not to think about it at all, or for the strength to abstain and not let it be or come into your world anymore...

I do admire such a virtuous quality in a lady especially in these times in which we live in.

it is better to be innocent like a child than to think anything that you shouldn't be thinking.

Generally I think the more you obey God He leads you out of the way of temptation.

I don't understand why many christians would go and view porn for example, like why would they even WANT to. But then I keep hearing how its justified to satisfy a sex drive that God gave them. Well ok but you looking at someone who could be someone's sister, daughter aunty who's got no clothes on for money. Uh..

I do think celibacy isn't that difficult for those pure in heart its just fending off the sex crazed fornicators trying to seduce you thats the problem.

Due to creation being subjected to "futility," (rom 8.20) a lot of things happen that should not be happening. Like people getting sick. Like couples divorcing. Like people walking away from following the Lord. And like believers becoming demonized.

In the world that connotation may exist; but those words do not carry the same connotation in the church (or at least they should not)

In what way would YOU describe a couple (in high school or college) that are dating exclusively, maybe even considering getting engaged (but are not quite there yet) and are committed to staying chaste until marriage?

Connotations.

Combining them into a single word (boyfriend or girlfriend) will imply a romantic element in the relationship. Romantic and sexual are not the same thing.

Well, things you know are wrong, like a school principal looking at porn, whcih affects other children in the school, or as we find, paedophile priests in a church, youd want to keep away from people like that. Lecherous husbands. Or know what to do in a situation esp if you are female!
