Dave you got to let your legalistic church background go. Not sure what your problem is, everyone ought to learn how to possess their vessels with honor. This isnt a bad thing its a good thing!


Not sure why you posting in my thread, its about fornication. Its really not ok to fornicate, was just reading a book about a woman who went to africa, she got HIV from fornicating with a guy.

She nearly died of AIDS. She regretted that she was careless. One night of pleasure does not make it right for a lifetime of battling serious illness.

As she was travelling she couldnt contact the guy and he just took off. She only found out later when she was being medically tested for a job.

Another factor was she was a little drunk or stoned at the time but this guy crept into her room. If shed not been drinking she could have fought him off.

This woman later got drug treatment and had three children, but the marriage broke up. She later wrote a book about her travels. I dont know if she told her husband about this episode, but she decided to come clean about what happened in africa. Back in the 90s the risk of HIV was real and its still real today with STDS it hasnt actually gone away.

I think women if you travelling alone and vulnerable dont accept drinks from strangers alcohol is really the gateway drug to fornication.

It lulls you into a state where your guard is let down. In the bible it was often used as a precursor to intercourse, eg Lot, Noah, who both times allowed incest to happen when they were drunk.

From experience I know that the partying lifestyle in which drugs are consumed really to loosen someone up and thats when most fornication happens. If you are sober, which the bible tells us to be, you wouldnt let some random guy into your bed who hasnt washed and breathe all over you with his stinky breath.

I did a long time ago. But I still remember very well the problems with their approach.

I agree. But possessing it by beating it down and causing long term injury is not possessing "with honor."

I understand that, and am in complete agreement that fornication (gr: pornia) is NEVER ok.
