Forced Vaccinations

For alleged democracies our people haven't had much direct say on the covid response.

There are means of coercion that falls short of being forced. If it is mandated that all health care
workers must receive a new vaccine, technically, they are not being forced, but they would have to
find a new profession to express their objection to the coercion.

Healthcare people typically have to get several other vaccines by employers. And TB tests. And often annual physicals. Why the whining?

They would do it for the general good of the population - I (think?) if you want your child to attend public school, they should be vaccinated for the safety of all children. I (think?) if you want to travel abroad to some places, you may be required to vaccinate.

However, I am a little concerned, and my concern is this:

Covid seems to be triggering some kind of nasty, Chronic-Fatigue like symptoms, months later in a % of victims, even if they didn't have it very bad before and this extends until (???) (does it end???). We've seen things like this before, there's a CFS documentary on Netflix unrelated to Covid which is very good, and frankly, terrifying. I would rather die on a respirator than have this syndrome or anything even remotely like it.

Now, I want to be clear that I in NO WAY think there is any kind of plot to have the vaccine do anything but good to its recipients. But... I am a bit worried that we don't understand what we are dealing with here. If you don't know why the syndrome arises after infection, and it doesn't surface until months later... how do you know that your vaccine blocks it (reduces the chance of it happening at a later time vs increases the chance of it happening at a later time).

Every healthcare treatment or procedure is risk vs benefit. No guarantees. Just probabilities.

Not only scientists, btw. Almost all the doctors I read about or visited refused to tell or reveal the truth to those woman and babies and children and dads and moms who they had harmed.

You would think that grown adults wouldn't need to be forced to do something sensible like get a vaccine for a dangerous pandemic. But we don't live in sensible times, which prompt threads like this where adults whine like children being asked to eat their peas because they believe the unhinged rants of people online instead of health professionals.

Only a few generations ago, we eradicated polio with a vaccine and a strong effort to get people vaccinated. What a difference a few decades make.

Well Polio did have the advantage of survivors 'not walking' around all the time. My class president in the 10th grade had 2 useless legs. They might as well have each been a piece of wood.

A scary possibility is that far larger numbers of people impacted by Covid-19 will exist in 5-10 years, in ways as significant but not as obviously related to Covid-19 to those who pass them on the street.

I'm not exactly sure why this is even being considered.

Why should anyone be forced to take a vaccine? If they don't want it... okay...let them suffer the consequences of their decision.

There's a general fear of people being forced to take a vaccine lately that is just lost on me. Even the vaccines that have been removed from service had only a 0.0001% chance of causing any problems.

Vaccines are fairly safe. Protect you from all kinds of nasty things.

But then we have people who are all about not getting vaccinated. Ok...they get to be sick pups. And where these sickos can clog up hospital beds needed for people with heart, cancer, or broken bones...I can understand that somewhat.

Maybe it's those where they are under Government healthcare but don't want a vaccine.

I can understand how someone might balk at using AstraZeneca vaccine because of fetal tissue.
Moderna's mRNA vaccine.
But there are other options... just probably going to have to pay for them out of your own pocket.
