I've only seen atheist make the meatball argument.
No one knows how is even possible for Frankencell to have ever existed since what we know about living cell to reproduce requires a lot of code and a lot of hardware (protein machinery).

There is probably no biologist on earth that thinks the first cell popped into existence, let alone any atheist community.

The first self replicating chemical life was probably no where near complex enough to form proper cells.

Atheists don't have to believe in a first cell that came about by abiogenesis. There is simply no evidence that a deity started life, so we continue to not believe that a deity started life.

Secondly, there is plenty of evidence that demonstrates universal common descent, so no faith based belief is necessary for universal common descent.

So let me get this straight....

The God that wants people to believe in Him, has somehow "outsmarted" the people who don't believe in Him, by forcing them to believe in something else? A frankencell, (whatever that is) you called it.

Windows 8 is a whole lot different from a universe.

Furthermore, there is evidence of the creators (developers) of Windows 8. These are real people with names and lives and real plans detailing how they programmed the software. It is also something that is possible to be replicated by other people with similar knowledge in the field of computer programming.

The universe or life or what ever you attribute to your God, has no evidence indicating a developer. There is no name attached to it. There are no plans as to how it works or was created. There is no one who can even come close to replicating a universe and so, nobody has any real understanding of how universes form or come to be.

So really, there is no evidence of a creator having created the universe or life. There is only people who believe there is one because it brings them comfort and because it is an idea that has been worked into human psychology for thousands of years.

But that doesn't make it so.
