Flu

Has anyone had the flu while pregnant? How does it affect baby? I think that I may have had a touch of the flu yesterday, as I couldn't keep anything down, and haven't had morning sickness for 7 weeks now, I had a horrible headache and my nose and sinuses were full. I have always had problems with my sinuses, and I know what sinusitis feels like, and this felt nothing like it.

Though baby was really active yesterday and is active today, so I think baby is fine, but I was just wondering what you all thought about it. I go to the doctor on Monday for my regular OB appointment.

I had flu with my first baby, (in the first trimester too) it wasn't too bad, but I didn't take anything because I was worried it would affect the baby. Follow your doctors advice.

It's generally no big deal!

Just so long as you keep your fever down and your body nourished and hydrated your baby should be fine. Just DONT take aspirin, take tylenol or something like it, aspirin is bad for pregnancy.
