You have been told many times that you could investigate, or test, the shape of the earth by doing some very simple things. You have been told you could talk to travel agents about Antarctica or watch David Attenborough's DVD about it. You won't do any of those things. You had been looking forward to the expedition to the Antarctica which would prove the shape of the earth one way or the other; then you said that you doubted the integrity of the flat earthers who were going. Then you said it was fraudulent - showing interest and excitement only when you thought that your hero, Dean Odle, might be going.

Sorry, but your failure to try even one of these things that has been suggested to you suggests that you do fear investigating a flat earth. Your latest statement about the Antarctica expedition even said "I don't care what they find, or prove; it will make no difference to my belief that the earth is flat."

Although the technology was around, only a few films were made in colour; it was expensive.
And the quality would have been nothing like as good as it is in that YouTube clip. I saw a little of the moon landings in 1969 - in black and white, with a grainy, flickering picture. Even "the woodentops" and kid's programmes were in black and white. It was expensive to make things in colour and not everyone could afford colour TV.
It wasn't the first thing ever shown, but there was great excitement in our school about being able to watch Princess Anne's wedding on TV in colour, in 1973.

You must have seen old black and white films and TV programmes; Laurel and Hardy, Charlie Chaplin, early Morecambe and Wise programmes or Crossroads? If not, look them up and compare the quality with modern films.
